Lennox has a slight possibility of stopping Jimmy, but most likely would fight down to his level, and win a wide UD.
i'm gone for six weeks and it's good to know that some things never change...i know it was you who voted for young red cobra, i know it was you
I'll go with Lewis by decision based on Young's track record of staying out of harm's way against big punchers.. Of course, none of the heavy hitters that Jimmy ever faced had the combination of power + boxing ability + height that Lewis had, with the exception of Gerry Cooney who isn't on Lewis's level and still look at what happened.. I'll still give him the benefit of the doubt that he makes it to the final bell, but either way, he's getting his ass kicked.
You're right.. No way does Lewis beat Ossie Ocasio or an aged Ken Norton... He'd get KTFO as punishment for even thinking about it.
I hate explaining why George Foreman lost to Jimmy Young over and over and over. I guess you can look at another one of my post to see the answer. Anyway if Lewis comes into the fight and takes Young seriously he wins easily, If he comes in cocky and takes Young lightly he would lost a close fight like Foreman did.
I won't claim that Young was prime... But he certainly wasn't "washed up" either. He was maybe 30 or 31 years of age, in good shape and inbetween winning streaks. For all his shortcummings, you still needed some sort of attack to beat Gerry Cooney.. Young wasn't good for much more than being elusive and had no power besides. Could Young have beaten Cooney 1n 1977 as opposed to 1980? My answer is maybe. But I have my doubts.
