IMO, the only heavyweight champion of history who would be a "lead pipe cinch" to beat Jimmy Young would be Joe Frazier. I believe that the short, hyper aggressive, high volume puncher types would be Jimmy's wolfbane.....keeping Young on the defensive throughout the fight and racking up the points for a decision...no, I don't think Frazier would stop Jimmy Young...I feel that if Oscar Bonavena was resourceful and clever enough to have navigated the entire 15 round distance, then Jimmy Young could and would have too....with a better chin and of course defensive abilities than Oscar.

    Very clever.

You correctly point out he avenged the Hamas loss in brutal fashion.

You are quite cunning per the Daniels loss however. He was young and raw and besides he is 1-1 with him you say.

Via your own wording and classification Daniels actually avenged his loss to Schmeling in "brutal fashion"!!!!!

Schmeling actually won the first fight and was ko'd in just one round in the return ;)

I will grant you Schmeling got noticeably better tho he did have over 40 fights under his belt at this point.
