Jimmy did great against big, ponderous punchers. How would he do with the fast, free-swinging Morrison?
Intriguing match up. Young has form on this one from the Foreman fight. I always thought Morrison was slightly underrated, but if its the best version of both you have to say its Morrison early or Jimmy shows his ring smarts to outbox another big puncher.
Young at his best would take this stopping Morrison late.Jimmy was very erratic though a poor version gets bombed out
Young ud over 12 Young 14 round ko over 15 Morrison had a limited arsenal and lacked late round stamina and power. His suspect chin and lacl pf defense means that youngs accumulation of light punches combinations, body shots, and counters means he stops him late or puts on a clinic. Morrison doesnt offer anything young hasnt seen. I dont even give him a punchers chance as young has withstood blows from 3 of the heaviest atg punchers in foreman, shavers, and lyle.
Young will out point Tommy but it won't be a breeze for him. Morrison for all his faults could bang, so young will have to be on full concentration mode. But young skill set takes him the decision.
Young by late stoppage. I like Morrison but he tended to fizzle out after the early part of the fight. He would be the aggressor in this bout and Young is far too clever. Morrison would get outmaneuvered and look a fool the entire fight. Young is smart (underrated) on the inside which is a big asset in this match up.
