He outpoints braddock in a surprisingly thrilling fight. Braddock never gives up and lets his hands go after realizing he cant outbox the elusive young.

Joe louis patiently stalks and chips away at young, saving his power and stamina for the late rounds. He eventually clips him and stops him around the 10th after a long and frustrating game of cat and mouse.

Young and quarry were similar but quarry was more aggressive and had more power. Kind of depends on which version of quarry shows up. The reckless pseudo swarmer who brought the fight to frazier/shavers/etc likely loses a lopsided decision to young or is stopped late. The smarter quarry defintely has a better chance. In a best of 3, quarry wins at least one.

Prime Frazier wears young down. Unlike the big sluggers like lyle, foreman, etc, frazier being small and compact with ferocious body shots and high workrate and stamina would be too much for young (who liked to fight at a measured pace at a distance). Post manilla frazier obviously loses.

Morrison gets his ass kicked

I reiterate...Frazier...and FOTC Frazier at that, is the only one to beat my man Jimmy Young...and it would go to a decision...in an UGLY, UGLY fight. Jimmy Young was the ultimate survivor, and would have been dq'ed for his defensive tactics if the fight didn't go to a kd-less decision.
Yes, I pick Young over the great Brown Bomber...but whether he would be robbed ala Louis-Walcott l would be another matter.
All the rest he simply outclasses....plain and simple.

 

Neither Morrison or Tua would land anything of consequence all night...two shutouts...with Morrison possibly getting stopped.

 

People say his kd of foreman was a fluke but he dropped lyle too. The sharp punch you dont see coming can create shocking results. Definitely not out of the question he could hurt or stop a chinny 1 dimensional guy like morrison who wasnt nearly as tough as foremam or lyle.

 

I like Jimmy Young and have alot of respect for the posters on here but.......

Joe Louis would stop Young. Sure Young has his moments but Louis walks him down and stops him .
Braddock is too much fighter for Young and wins a close decision .Braddock never quits trying and eventually Young goes defensive for too long.
Frazier runs over Young .Too relentless and never stops coming .
I'd favor Young over Morrison and Tua but wouldn't be shocked if Morrison jumped on Young early and forced a stoppage. Morrison had some fast hands and could crack with the hook.
Quarry I'd say is a pickem.
