I will make this short ,as you are one poster I am not interested in getting into a debate with. Young lost to a 35 year old ,fat Ali ,he lost on ALL the Judges scorecards.
Young beat a 35 year old Lyle.
Young beat Foreman ,his biggest win, Foreman suffered heat prostration after he fight.
Norton was 34 when Young LOST to him.
Dunn was never more than European level and was kod in his next two fights after losing to Young his victors were the famous Ngozika Ekwelum,2-1-2, and Jose Urtain ,whom an ancient Henry Cooper brutally exposed.
I see nothing on Young's record to suggest he was great ,and having seen quite a few of his fights ,including from ringside I saw absolutely nothing to alter that opinion.
    Young's record is 56 fights W 34 L 19 D2 .Good fighter? Yes . Great one ? NO!

The statements "Most avoided " and "best resumes" , are contradictory and incompatible.
    Who avoided Young?
    Young fought
    Roman

    Lyle x2
    Garcia
    Foreman

    Ali
    Cooney
    Tubbs
    Tucker
    Dokes
    Page
    Shavers
    Ballard
    Gardner
    Dunn
    Sims
    Ocasio x2
Good resume, against just about every body who held a top ten ranking at one time, unfortunately most of the crucial results were losses.
    Nearly Man!

So do you consider Shavers a great HW? Seeing as you could make the same claims about him.
