Tomorrow in Suzhou, co-featuring on the Wenfeng Ge vs. Giemel Magramo card. WBC light flyweight silver title at stake, 1st defense of Xiang.

Satorn has thrice as many professional bouts as Xiang, but the young Chinese fighter might actually have more high-quality wins than his older (36 vs. 29 years) Thai challenger. The latter is something of a "1 hit wonder", knocking out dangerous Mexican glass cannon Adrián Hernández in what might have been 2011's unsung FOTY ...but accomplishing little of note before or since. WBC eleventh-ranked Xiang, meanwhile, despite his unassuming 15-4-2 (3) record, has already thwarted several Filipino prospects and solid gatekeepers (with a victory and draw, both split decisions, against previously unbeaten Ben Manangquil) and most recently dominated Merlito "Tiger" Sabillo. In just his second pro fight he went ten complete rounds with Jerwin Ancajas, then 11-0-1! Satorn is coming off a loss, splitting a pair of 12-rounders last year with countryman Siridech Deebook following a 2 year layoff.

I watched Satorns last fight and i think Xiang should win this. Especially with the home advantage in China. Xiang is good enough to outwork him from all angles.

    From the SinaSports website, translated:

On January 5, 2019, the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium will host the first international and world-class competition in China's professional boxing, opening a new prelude to the 2019 Chinese professional boxing competition. ...more than 20 media platforms, such as iQiYi Sports, Sina Sports, Youku, Tencent News, Netease Live, Today Headlines, will be broadcast live. The boxing players will be reloaded, passionately beaten, and the hot warriors will win the championship. The Suzhou Olympic Sports Center will be star-studded and sleepless all night.

Great. So now I know everything but when to set my alarm for...

Don't bother scrying anything from the Sina or CCTV5 websites...you'll just get a headache looking for anything resembling a straightforward programming guide. Apparently hot-mess cluster-**** dumpster-fire is the en vogue fashion in Chinese web design right now. :nusenuse:
