I also thinks he resents Erik Morales somewhat, because Morales used his counter punching style to defeat Pacquiao. And even though JMM made the blueprint he was physically unable to execute it mainly on the account of his wobbly chin whilst Morales was able to complete the job.
Or maybe he thinks promoters owe him. I don't get bothered when fighters ask for good money. Afterall, they give their lives for our entertainment. And it seems, more often than not, fighters end up broke and regretting their negotiating tactics
That's what happens too when a lightweight carries 12 pounds of extra fat into a fight and his welterweight opponent decides at the last minute he won't drop to the agreed weight and comes in 2 pounds over. JMM > racist video > Harris > Security guard I > II ..... see the pattern of crime?
i guess it has something to do with when Morales was on top & Marquez was chasing Erik did not give him the oppurtnity, Now its payback time.
doesn't matter what he thinks, he gets what he's worth and he's not in the same stratosphere when it comes to morales.
This fight falls in the same category as Pac/Mosley, Cotto/Mayorga, etc. No real relevance but as a boxing fan I'm curious to see.
if you want pacquaio just fight someone at 140 already. Seems like JJM is just looking for a money fight.
How do we know JMM isn't getting underpaid? We haven't heard what Morales' camp offered him or at least I haven't. JMM deserves to be paid as much as $2 to 6 million which is the bracket Arum gives out to Pac's opponents (ie. Clottey, Marg, etc.). Obviously Marquez's total earning depends on whom he is fighting but he definitely should get a significant share. I'm not gonna jump out of JMM's ship just because he is allegedly showing greed. A large percentage of superstar boxers love excess money, including your beloved Pacquiao. If I were to cross out every boxer on the list for being greedy I wouldn't have anyone to root for. Gotta be able to overlook bits of bull**** in order to appreciate the sport.
