seems like a fun party:smoke I dont mind if morales marquez is off, I like morales better and I dont want to see him beaten up in a fight that should have happened 6 years ago. Morales is done he should retire, marquez still has options go fight a tune up then judah for the 140 ibf belt.
That just goes to show you what kind of boxing fans there are when Margarito can bring in a shitload of people to watch him in Cowboys Stadium yet Marquez, currently the best Mexican fighter on the planet, is highly underrated. You're not looking at the bigger picture. An ATG like JMM should get more respect. Granted he is no perfect angel but neither is Margarito. Marg pokes fun at Roach, makes steroid related comments toward Pac, and Pac fans call Pac-Marg a "great" fight when it wasn't even a close contest. Going straight forward and throwing a ton of punches at Pac doesn't make it a competitive match. JMM-Pac bouts were some of the best wars we've seen but ask the typical Pac and fan he'll tell you things like, "JMM can't keep his ass off the canvas therefore we'll throw him a bag of peanuts. We'll give a real nice purse to a guy like Margarito."
marquez vs another lightweight title holder? Marquez vs Khan????. Marquez v maidana would entertain me!.
JMM annoys me with this ****, he's priced himself out of huge fights against Hamed, Pac, and Morales in the past and then complained that he can't get the big fights. With that being said, Im glad its not happening. Morales shouldve taken the 3/4 mill that Morales offered when Morales was a top 10 p4p, not now when hes been through the ringer through and through fighting the best for 10 years.
If not Morales, JMM Vs. Robert Guerrero makes sense. (RG recently had a fight canceled, He is looking for an opponent same promo company... ect)
Sure... This content is protected Who is on top between the two? This content is protected Oh ****!! This content is protected
He's asking for so much because Erik didn't want to fight him when he was prime way back when, and now that JMM is more in the spotlight and Erik wants the fight for the money, he's not going to go easy on him. There's nothing radical to 'defend' here. His career stalled a lot because he couldn't get those fights, he's the bigger draw, so he wants a much larger part of the pie.
