Two time champ at the weight including lineal.. 1-1 with Corrales 1-1 with FMJ (in a balanced mind) A win + a draw with Stevie Johnston Also beat Casamayor, Cesar Pezan & Julio Diaz He's an odd one... Seems he was one of those fighters that peaked fairly late & truly found his feet at a certain weight class. Let's look at his FW/SFW career: Despite campaigning at the weights for about 10 years & around 45 fights he was stopped 3 times at FW & beat no one of note. He lost to ALL the best fighters he fought as a FW & none of them were exactly special either. Never won a major title either .. He never won a major title at SFW either despite having plenty of fight's at the weight & was stopped by bum Julio Alvarez. His best win was 35 yr old 62-13-4 Jorge Paez who hadn't won a major title for 9 years, was coming off a KO loss & was fighting journeyman at that stage & never fought anyone of note again... & yes I was born in a crossfire hurricane!
Mayweather beat him twice, 114-112, and even clearer the 2nd time around. Very similar to Ward/Kovalev Ward beat him close the first time, then knocked him out the 2nd!!!
