JM Lopez vs a prime Hamed

A guy who was never KOed in his career? Took the best shots of some hard hitters and finished them off later on?

 

So far, Hamed KO. Hamed always got up from being on the eck and was much faster that Juanma with more power.

 

A battle between two mountainous punchers for their division, certainly. I usually conclude by saying the winner will be the fighter who catches the shots better, and history has often indicated that to be the case. I reference Jackson/McClellan, Gonzalez/Carbajal, Hagler/Mugabi, and Hearns/Barkley as being some examples to my theory being true. Of course, there was countless exceptions, but in this instance I favor the more sturdy chin to win the day...and in my estimation, that belonged to the Prince.

 

The Hamed that fought Robinson would toy with Lopez. The power, the speed, the awkwardness, the reflexes etc, would have been a little bit too much I think. If a Mtagwa (spelling) could give him a nightmare 12 rounds, and a Concepcion could at least deck him, then I'd be worried to see what Hamed would do to him. An awsome stoppage (5-7 rounds).

Now the Hamed that fought Barrera, that would be more interesting. I can see how Lopez would have some success against a de-motivated Hamed that would be there for the taking. All in all, this fight would depend on how much Hamed wanted it.

Honestly?

I think they're more or less evenly matched, and I really can't pick a winner here. The only thing I know for certain, is that a prime Hamed with the brilliant Ingle in his corner, would not have been made to look a fool.

Maybe an initial Hamed win, with Barrera avenging the defeat in a rematch? (or visa versa)

 

You do know Ingle was present when Kelley made him look a fool don't you? You know Hamed's best career win and maybe performance came a year before he fought Barrera? Some myths need busting about Hamed.

As for Hamed/Juanma................Hamed might have to overcomes a couple of flash knockdowns but he gets up and eventually KO's Lopez!

The guy was basking in his money rather than the training.

Hell im sure even steward came out afterwards and said hamed hardly prepared for the right.

Not to say he would have won but with Ingle he would have been prepared thats for sure!

So you watched the documentary? Maybe you missed the promo ahead of his fight with Ausgie Sanchez, where Hamed claimed he was getting little to no training under Ingle. He'd walk into the gym and wrap his own hand, he'd essentially be training himself. Oscar Suarez claimed to have seen amateurs train better. People seem to remember Naz as being infallible and untouchable under Ingle but it just isn't true. It's nostalgia, I once remembered Peter Pan being infinitely more compelling than I did when I watched it the other week.

 

Delusional.

Bungu has a good argument for being the best and most accomplished fighter that Hamed ever defeated. You scoff as if to say there was a long line of great and outstanding champions that Hamed faced. He only really faced one outstanding fighter and he was soundly beaten. Not because he was against a better fighter. A more talented, technically sound operator. But because Ingle wasn't in the corner to say, "Come on son, what's going on out there".

 

Let's re-evaluate things here. We have people saying there was a steady decline from Hamed about four years prior to facing Barrera? What else was also happening at that time? I'll tell you, Hamed was going up in class - facing better opposition than he previously had done. What a coincidence.
