We are past statements, we need for then to face each other, IMO a loss for either one of them will not mean the end, it could b the beginning of a better one, I c them cocky and that could spell disaster and you always learn more from a loss than an easy win, that is what happened to SRL, SRR and all the great ones, after a loss they came back with a vengeance.
Now day the 0 means a lot to the fighters, promoters, HBO and SHO, etc.. back in the day a fighter with 3 or 4 loses was OK and they have a few loses because they were facing the best available opponents, you can't go through elite fighters and came out at the end with the 0, some 0's has to go.
except for JCC jr...he will remain undefeated until winning 200 fights...maybe a few more draws if gets beat down again.
I dont think so i think everyone is underrating Salido just like they did when he fought Gamboa, i was like the only one here who called it a close fight and that he will give Gamboa a very competetive fight... Im saying it again this will be a tough fight for Lopez, in fact im even thinking Salido can pull off the upset.:think
Well Gamboa won convincingly( i think i had him by 4 points) but Salido gave him hell and was alot more competetive than any of you thought..... I just think Gamboa is better than Lopez... I know styles make fights and all that but unless the Gamboa fight took alot out of him, i can see Salido possibly pulling off the upset... people forgot about his good wins Cristobal Cruz,Robert Guerrero, lamont peterson and sd loss to prime Cobirita Gonzalez, 5th round ko over Mtagawa(who almost upset Lopez), wins over Still ranked Carlos Gerena,Regillo Tuur.
Not me, I knew he will b tested in that fight the majority of salidos loses were when he was a teen and he went 24 rounds or so against La Cobrita Gonzalez and JM Marquez, he may not b a ATG or HOF, but you have to take it from him, no gimmicks here.
well Juanma is young even younger than Gamboa's so fights like this make him better, and make additional money too.
