Good for JMM. He's actually fighting the top dogs of the division. I agree with kirks's sentiment

JMM is not just making a pit stop at the weight simply to claim a title, he's setting out to be the man at the weight.

If both fighters show up in top form, it's going to be a great one. When he's countering and not forced to lead, Marquez has one of the prettiest styles out there. Truly a sweet science. Diaz will give him AMPLE opportunites to counter.

As much as I like Diaz, I have to take Marquez in this one. Marquez has shown that he can weather adversity whereas Diaz kind of nutted up when he got cut against Campbell. I think this fight is over the minute JMM establishes respect in the ring. JMM's power is a bit underrated and I think Diaz backs of on the relentlessness after eating a hard right or two. I take JMM by unanimous decision. Diaz starts strong, JMM establishes control after 3-5 rounds. Diaz will not quit, though. If anything, he showed heart when he finished against Nate.

Somebody mentioned earlier, this fight should be held at the Home Depot Center in Carson CA.

......it would e huge there with an electrifying atmosphere.

As for the fight itself, Diaz' style lends itself for JMM to do what he does best.......imo, Diaz is good fighter, but he's going to look ordinary against JMM's style.

Diaz is going to get technically mastered and stopped.
I say another towel job is in order!

The fight I'd really like to see is JMM-Guzman......much more competitive, and if JMM were to come out victorious....that fight would be a good baromometer to weigh JMM's chances at a potential 140 lbs vs Mayweather Jr.

Since Pac wont fight him, JMM should be at the ready to go after the first fightere that beat Pac, either Hatton or Mayweather Jr. at 140 lbs.

.....I dont see any other threats other than Joan Guzman for JMM at 135 lbs.

Dang, I was hoping these guys wouldn't fight each other so soon.

I really like these two fighters. Should be a very big and eventful fight.

Don't forget Pac ducked the super duper fighters of 130lbs(Valero,Soto,Guzrun).

Marquez biggest asset is the draw to Pac. Wow Pac is really cherry picking.... :rofl:rofl:rofl

:nonoJMM is'nt getting any younger. Imo every fight for JMM should be a significant one.......

Juan Diaz, Nate Campbell, Valero......let JMM at those one by one.
If Pac loses to Hatton, then thats JMM's chance to make even better money than he would ever do against Pac.....and it would be his Golden opportunity to further his legacy beyond Pac's.....by beating the fighter that beats Pac.

JMM imo probably has two years max at the top. He should maximize it by taking on fighters that will define his legacy......Diaz, Campbell to unify, and what better way that to cap his career off win or lose against Ricky Hatton at 140 lbs!:bbb

juan diaz is a little overated here in ESB. i still remember back then when he has yet to lose that if pacman goes up to 135, he will be demolished by juan "baby bull" diaz. now jmm would be giving juan diaz his 2nd loss in his last 3 fights.
