The fact of the matter is..it's guyz like Marquez that keep this game going. They fight for pride before everything else..Marquez knew from the start he was up against it in a guy like Floyd...but that did'nt stop him.

Took his ass-whipping like a man. While losing is not the same as winning,Juan earned my respect last night.

Hope and pray he's not shot mentally after this.Cause I'd love to see this cat lace'em up again.

There is honour in losing after all.Just ask my main man Tommy Hearns..still one of my all-time favourites despite the losses in his biggest fights..

    War Dinamita!!!

JMM has always been a great champ... unfortunately he hasn't had the luck on his side when it comes to close decisions.

Yesterday wasn't one of those close decissions but he fought like the great champ he is and gave it all for 12 rounds.....

It was very clear the advantages that Floyd had over him, but that didn't stop Marques from fighting.... and the most important thing is that JMM did accepted to fight eventhough Floyd did not comply with the weight stipulated....I think many other boxers wouldn't have taken the fight, but JMM did because he is a true warrior....

It was the great little man vs the great big man battle and I am happy it went that way..... I wouldn't have liked a catchweight fight..... great champs like great soldiers fight and die with their boots on.... and Marquez just did that yesterday....

I'll be waiting for your next fight Campeon. Que Viva JMM!!!!!

Mad respects for Juan Manuel Marquez calling out Floyd Mayweather Jr. That jump in weight just too much. Too many disadvantages against Floyd. Still a p4p great in my eyes. :happy

kudos to marquez from a floyd fan he fought valiantly and i hope this aint the end for him i kinda feel bad for him because i get the impression oscar knew the whole weight thing would happen and sold him out. From oscars comments at the press conference i also get the impression he used marquez to make a fight with pacquiao more lucrative for floyd and that maybe he has rights on mayweathers next fights. If this is the case theres no way JMM deserved that he's a true warrior and he has nothing to be ashamed of

no but really, even though this was his biggest payday, and a virtual win-win for him no matter the turnout, he did something very few lightweights had given thought to in challenging Floyd. I guess I'll give him his respects for that.
