You probably did'nt see the fight. Marquez was interviewed by HBO moments before he entered the ring and the question posed to him was if he had a choice, would he want Mayweather to have honored the stipulated weight, or come out of it 600K richer, to wish Marquez without hesitation said, he'd much prefered Mayweather have honored the weight and fought at the weight he said he would.

.....sign that Marquez' mind was on winning and not on financial gain.

Why would anyone doubt the sincerity of Juan Manuel Marquez. He believes in himself, and when he signs for a fight, he trains to win. No doubt about it.

To the contrary......the only thing he wanted said was that he had trained hard, gave maximum effort, and wanted his countrymen to know he layed it on the line for them.
No apologies from JMM.......he's as proud an Aztec Warrior as there's ever been!:deal

I personally did'nt see it that way........I think what Lampley tried to convey is that through the ruckus with the Mayweather interview, JMM was proud enough to stick around and get a few words in on the happenings even though the fight clearly did'nt go his way.

Most fighters dont want to stick around after clearly losing a fight........Lampley in this case I believe was trying to convey what a sport Marquez was.

There's one thing that JMM has which PBF doesn't have..

    THe heart of a WARRIOR!!!

JMM despite the odds took the risk of going up two divisions to meet JMM.
PBF going up two divisions to meet boxer "A" OR "B". Forget it! YOu have a better chance winning the LOTTO 2X's in a row than PBF taking that risk/challenge!

Like I said before the fight! PROPS to JMM for taking the fight! :good

    It's only $2.6 million, $2M purse + $600k penalty...

When this fight was signed, I've read JMM is getting close to $4 million then just days ago, I've read JMM's purse is actually $2 million...

JMM performed better than PBF tonight. I mean, what was JMM supposed to do. PBF was heavier, strong, had a 5 inch reach advantage and didn't even need to drain weight.

At least pissant Phloyd didn't hurt you JMM. Go back to 135 and own the division.

    Eff Void Gayweather.

Marquez may have lost the bout and didn't manage to take out Void's 0. But he is the winner for signing the fight from Day 1.

Well said man, props to JMM for getting in the ring with a bigger, faster, stronger fighter then him, it was a very good performance by Mayweather, but we need to see him do this against fighters his own size and see whats up!
