I love JMM as a fighter. His heart is immeasurable. PAc won't have the balls to take this fight where as JMM did. JMM is a true champion. Like Duran, he was up against it but he was older where as Duran against Leonard was prime. JMM has one heck ofa chin because when he got hit, I thought he was gone. I probably would've cried had he stayed down, but that pride, and that Indian(hate saying Indian) heart says it all. I was proud of him even though he was overmatched.
Even though marquez got dominated....he lasted 12 rounds....and to me for a faded era....he is a legend none the less....look how much he has accomplished while being past his prime for awhile now...
Just a slight correction on the highlighted to make it right my friend! JMM did'nt last 12 rounds, he fought 12 rounds, which is alot more than I can say of other fighters who climb the ring overmatched!:deal
:good I look forward to JMM's unification of lightweight and subsequent honorable discharge from the sport.
After the weigh-in deal and Floyd not allowing himself to be weighed on fight night. I figured Marquez was going to be brutalized and be TKO'd by the 5th or 6th. I was not surprised by the Marquez going down in the 2nd. What did surprise me was how Marquez recovered and stood his ground even when Floyd cranked back on his punches and tried to take him out. Seeing such an overmatched opponent way out of his comfort zone go the distance with the best, speaks volumes. Marquez has alot to be proud of.
