JMM-Diaz rematch, on PPV no less!

Arum may have lured Winky to TR with the promise of a Pavlik fight, but I seriously doubt it happens.

 

How the **** did you come to that conclusion?

Its a rematch of the Fight of the Year. Against 2 guys who need a win.

Its a fight that makes perfect sense.

 

Actually the first fight was really good and it was for a title. Making it PPV is nonsense.

 

Usually having a re-match of a classic fight would be a great idea but this just leaves me cold. It's hard to see what JMM gets out of this. Diaz's reputation has lowered after the Malignaggi fights and it seems likely that if JMM wins again, he won't get much credit.

I'd have preferred JMM-Valero. I'm sure this will be another good fight but I don't think it does anything for Marquez.

Fight will probably be entertaining but I'm not paying for this ****. Hopefully I can find a good stream.

 

that never got beyond talks, Winky isn't with Top Rank. Otherwise, he wouldn't be talked about for this card.

 

There's no pleasing some people. Lots of folk moaning about this fight, which I find weird. Its a good match up.

 

Strange coincidence then. My first reaction/post was 'Pavlik eliminator'. Maybe Winky sees this as a path for some reason then? He has stated he wants Pavlik and that was the whole reason for him talking to TR in the first place.

 

all i see it as is two guys in need of a fight. And, of course, i'm sure they both want a crack at the MW belt. And with the slim pickings in the division, the winner will probably be near top of the list.

 

It seems like it would depend on how long Pavlik stays at 160. Besides Williams it doesn't seem like there are a lot of bigger name options for Pavlik right now. I don't know when Sturm fights again and he seems happy fighting lesser fighters in Germany. There are some prospects at 160 but none are ready yet and anyone that moves up from 154 will lack a marquee name.

Winky is old and has name value, a win over Mora will put him back in the mix. I don't know where Pavlik is looking to go after the Martinez fight but if he stays at 160 for a few more fights there aren't many bigger named or better qualified options than Winky

 

I was at that fight the atmosphere was amazing!:good It was louder at that fight than it was at any Rockets' basketball game I'd been to there.

Ah no we have had major injuries. Last year we gave the Lakers a better series than anyone else in the playoff did we took them to 7 games no one else did that. But I guess you missed that?:good The Rockets will be back next year Yao Ming didn't even play this season. What I do find funny is someone from Atlanta saying anyone's team sucks.
