does is still worry you whenever jmm gets knocked down or seriously gets rocked early in the fight?

the way jmm goes down, always with both his feet up, looks like really serious but he manages to press on looking much stronger.

Not really. I think the guy just has shaky legs. However his chin is solid along with getting his legs back in no time. To be honest with you i wasnt even worried when he went down. He showed he had the speed and power in those first 2 rounds. I know he has a hell of a chin and Katsidis would only be in more danger pursuing the KO.
Anyways. JMM took control of that round a minute after that hard as KD.

May be part of JMM's strategy :rofl

I think JMM has a good chin, otherwise he won't be able to continue the fights.

I dont think its a part of his strategy. He is just a proud fighter and can get careless at times when he is ahead or does something good.

In the 1st Pac fight he was coming in with 2 titles and fighting a nobody really in Pac. He probably thought he would steam roll him and Pac was obviously good so he caught him and took him down.
In the 2nd fight he had just beat up on Pac and stunned him in the last few seconds of that round. The third round he was winning and had just caught Pac with some good punches so he got crazy and tried to trade with him.
In this fight he was basically dominating it so he got careless with his defense and paid for it.

I was being sarcastic when I said it was part of his strategy. You are right though, JMM takes risks in fights when he tries to trade with his opponents. Good thing he has a good chin.

Marquez went down pretty hard tonight......and that shot was right on the point of the chin, which most fighter dont recover from.......

.......ass soon as Marquez went down I said, "****"......but like in every one of his previous knockdowns, I knew he'd be OK when I saw him immediately get up without getting on all fours to do so.

When a fighter goes down and springs right up in the frontal position, thats a sign that his legs are still strong enough for him to put up a fight.

......you know, Marquez being so aggressive on the counter is always going to leave him suceptible to counters.
......the man trusts his chin and conditioning or he would not let flow mutlipunch combinations the way he does, because anytime you do that their are creeces that you leave yourself open to for an opponent to answer with a nice timed shot.

........let it not be said that Marquez cant take a shot, because if he could'nt, he would not have gotten up from that wicked shot that Katsidis nailed him with.

he's taken clean shots from barrera, casamayor who has previously knocked out katsidis, baby bull, katsidis, floyd at 146, and not to mention pac. no one was able to put him away. he has a good chin with amazing recuperative ability. who among the available fighters do you think has enough power to ko jmm, within jmm's weight range?

I love JMM, what a warrior. Clean shots from Pac, Floyd and Kats put him on his a$$, and I don't think he was seriously hurt by any of them.. In fact, besides Floyd, he came back and dommed after ever KD.

Respect his ability to get up like that.

Question his cerebral health in the future.

I think you are wrong........Marquez has been knocked down a few times, but he rarely gets rocked......
......that did'nt even happen with Katsidis tonight.
Marquez got hit a few other good Katsidis shots and Marquez never buckled.

I'd say that only time he was really buckled was the 3rd round in the Pacquiao rematch, and the 3rd round vs Juan Diaz......
.....Marquez instantly recovered within a matter of seconds.

Marquez is not a fighter that when he's been caught with a good shot teeter totters around the ring. The man has strong legs........people just have to realize that the way he lets out those beautiful multipunch combinations.......leaves him susceptible to get caught with a well timed shot.

I feel Khan can possibly cause a ref stoppage due to his speed.

I'm not sure there is anyone out there 140 lbs and below with concussive KO power to do the trick.

I believe you would need an Alexis Arguello type......somebody with concussive, explosive power, I dont see anyone out there that could do it.
