I know there was thread about this a while ago, but can someone post the video or a link to the video or old thread? Love watching the end of this fight and can't find it right now.
One of the best fights I got to see live on television in a long time. That said, I would not be surprised if a few fights this weekend match it in terms of action and excitement, especially on the Lightweight thunder card. Great time to be a Boxing fan.
I was in awe by that performance and it reminded me why MArquez is my favorite fighter.. Simply wow... I mean how can a fighter's punching form be that perfect? His long range and short range uppercuts are a thing of beauty, it's like a dream n ****. Can pacman do that?? not in a million years. PAcman and Barrera are clearly a few notches below the Great Juan Manuel Marquez. Well Barrera comes closer to MArquez but still, he's no Marquez.. And pacman is wayyyyy down there.
His footwork is just amazing, how he jumps back slightly enough to get that right uppercut in at the end, and he does the same thing in the 8th round...the first hilight shown for the 8th round
Considering an old past prime version of Marco almost beat the not so perfect Juan, and that both Marco and Pacquiao have superior resumes than Dinamita, I'm inclined to disagree. Marquez has a way to go before he should be considered on the level of a Barrera.:good
I actually got to see this fight live at the toyota center it was a great fight to say the least great performance put on by Marquez it's amazing how alot more people were cheering MarqueZ even before the knockout even though it was Diaz backyard....
its funny how people on esb are always saying how Pac sucks but look at what JMM did to Juan Diaz at an even higher weight? If Pac is so shitty, then how come JMM didn't knock him like that. How come JMM didn't knock Pac like he did Casamayor?
I do not think anyone in his right mind would consider Pac a shitty fighter. But as far as Boxing technique goes, JMM is in fact, head and shoulders above him. In Boxing, that's just one part of the equation, there are many other factors that determine how good a fighter is.
