    I dont believe it for a milisecond!:yep

Here's the deal.......Marquez heard GBP's offer, and normally he's not one to make such offers public.....

Imo, what Marquez is doing is making it public so that the ball is in Arum's court to make Marquez an offer he cant refuse.

The dillema for Arum now is that if a Mayweather fight cant be made, who does Pacquiao fight next???

Marquez would make the most financial sense to match Pacquiao against.....
......but now that Marquez has made it public that GBP made him a great offer, the pressure is on Arum to concede to some demands by Marquez......like more money, and yep, you guessed it, the Marquez-Pacquiao fight at 140 lbs!!!:deal:deal:deal:deal

.........Marquez may now be in position to demand to Arum, "you want me for Pacquiao, the fights at 140 lbs or I walk back to GBP!":yep

If a third fight with Pacquiao can be made for Marquez, anyone who's a boxing fan wants the fight made at 140 lbs, and Marquez now may have a little leverage to get it there.

jmm just has to finally move up and win a title @140 vs. either khan or bradley and he will already be considered above his contemporaries morales and mab in atg status. it will also make him the only mexican to win 4 world titles in 4 diff. weight classes.

he can then fight pac either @140 or 147 as a farewell fight and retire a very rich man.

Ha ha... I know. But I can dream, can't I?

My impression is that JMM would stop at nothing to get a third fight with Pacquiao. It’s a thorn on his side that he doesn’t want to bring into retirement. It’s no longer about the money for him. And I think he now has a great chance to finally get his wish. I mean, other than Floyd, who else could Manny fight after Mosley? For JMM to suddenly change his mind tells me something has come up.

I know that people here are sick and tired of hearing the possibility of a Pac-FMJ fight. But there have been a lot of rumors on it lately. And I have a hunch it’s the reason JMM is suddenly looking for other options: Floyd beat him to it.

I agree that the majority of boxing fans want to see this fight @ 140 but the reality is that they want the fight @ 147 or ( best case scenario, a catchweight fight @ 144.) Furthermore, Pac is not going to appease JMM by fighting @ 140. Lest we forget, JMM is chasing Pac, not the other way around.

140 wouldnt make any difference. Pac is even faster at that weight. JMM would get knocked out. I'd like to see this fight too just to finish the trilogy, but people r giving JMM to much credit in this fight. Lets remember he just had a tough one with katsidis not too long ago. He would get knocked out pretty quick against Pac, maybe in a few rounds. JMM's older now and this isn't featherweight where he's got pretty good handspeed. I'd still like to c it just to shut everyone up. Pac wouldn't get any credit from the haters tho

Yes because we all know JMM has a history of really thinking things through the business aspect of boxing. :rofl:rofl:rofl:patsch

If he can get the fight with Pac at 147 he'll take it in an instant. He already whored himself to PBF, there is no question that he will do so to Pac.

He learned the weight was a problem and would likely prefer the fight at 140. Just because he made a few notable business errors in the past does not mean the man is incapable of thinking through situations. GB will give him more leverage in a number of demands if Arum likes the money.

It's incredible how any decision JMM makes will always leave a trail of haters finding a way to discredit him as a figure in the sport like they were getting paid for it.

Ok...weigh in below 140, whats so difficult about that?

A fight at 147 doesnt mean he has to weigh in at 147.

Marquez would have zero chance against Pac now, none at all. He would get brutally knocked out cold.............

Right, why doesn't Pac just come in below 154 for Martinez? Weight classes exist for a reason.

Its this robot mentality that has boxing fans flabbergasted as to why there is so many fighters jumping weight classes and being successful at it.

The only reason why anyone would want this fight at 140 is the prospect of seeing Pacquiao drained somewhat to fight JMM. Why would the draw and champion give in to such demands? It makes no sense at all.

So in your opinion its okay for JMM to jump two weight classes to face PAC at 147.

But it's not okay for PAC to jump one weight class to fight Martinez at 154 where PACQUIAO is a champion at?

    Nice. :huh
