I think your right for the most part. But yu ever notice how most of these guys some consider great become great by the masses only after years have passed from the time of their retirement?
People always overreact when a fighter wins. Pac's win over De La Hoya garnered as much hype. Its ok though. After the hype, people then come and say ridiculous things like De La Hoya was NO MATCH for Pac or that Juan Diaz was OVERRATED to begin with before he fought Marquez. I guess it all balances out in the end.
I understand what Arriba is saying, he's using the term "great young fighter" which is more specific than "great fighter". For someone his age he's great, but compared to the absolute best he falls short - but in theory could get there if he really tries (and actually has the potential).
That's what happens when you face young, strong champions in their absolute prime. Not surprising *******s don't know that, considering their idol hasn't been in that situation in years.
It was a masterful performance indeed. It was Diaz who was overrated, particularly his punching power.
Naaah JMM looking good losing to pac is the greatest thing that happened to him. Pac dominates my boy.:hi:
It's because Juan Diaz is an excellent world class fighter and he beat him in shocking fashion, at least to me, I never expected a KO. He deserves the attention he's getting in my opinion, he's a man who fought HARD for it and finally earned it, I'm happy to see him gain some fans and get respected.
