Marquez against the Castillo that fought Mayweather.

    Who wins?

    50/50

Edge to JMM if he boxed circles around him.

He couldn't box circles around Diaz. I don't think he could against Castillo.

I'm thinking Castillo. Diaz was able to land a lot of shots on Marquez but Marquez got lucky because Diaz has no power. Castillo was a pretty heavy puncher and the shots would not bounce harmlessly off of Marquez's head. Combine that with the fact that Castillo had a very solid chin and I think that he breaks marquez down possibly stopping him late.

Marquez does get hit a lot he is not really that slick. Castillo is too active and has too much power. JMM is doing very well for his age but come on a prime Castillo is quite a step up from Diaz and old casamayor.

It would have been a simply excellent fight.

Another question it begs is who hit harder at 135, Pacquiao or Corrales?

Good question. But to be honest from a JMM fan I would say Catillo. This would be an all out war but Castillo was one of the best lightweights of this decade. Castillo had volume, he had precise timing and placed his shots extremely well. He also had a great chin and will of a tiger. He would walk down his opponents and strike non stop. Castillo had one of the nicest uppers although JMM's uppers are somewhat similar and great as well. The one thing that separates both fighters is their prime and weight. JMM is not in his prime at 135 and he deffinitely still doesnt fill in the weight fully at lightweight. While Castillo would come in fight night 10+ pounds heavier (ex:Corrales fight) I would predict this would be a huge advantage.

He didn't really have to, Juan Diaz doesn't have the pop that makes fighters want to be extra cautious.

I think Marquez posses the skill and fire power to give Castillo fits.

I still stand by my 50/50.

Castillo isn't quite on a par with Marquez at any weight. I think Juan takes him outta there in the late rounds.

U talking about the same Castillo that most people feel beat Mayweather, the same guys that EASILY dominated a prime Lazcano, the same Lazcano that almost KO Hatton?

    Castillo is very underrated.
