Are you saying a limited fighter accomplished what Pacquiao did in 8 weight divisions despite his clearly apparent small size and frame?. Do you realize that you're literally spitting on the Sport you watch by making that idiotic statement? Also, Maidana and Castillo had no problems at all with someone they lost to twice?. Are you mentally stable?.

Neither did JMM. I scored all 3 fights for JMM with #2 being the closest in terms of rounds and #1 being the widest in terms of rounds. On top of that, JMM didn't wait 6 years to fight Pac at the twilight of Pac's career...Pac also didn't have a torn rotator cuff and was much younger and fresher.

So the issue here is that Mayweather fought in the biggest stage in boxing history and opted to fight a completely safety first fight and was complacent touching Pac with his glove to earn him the point...even after the fact that he had almost every advantage a fighter could enjoy.

Mayweather did boxing no favors, and neither did Pacquiao fighting injured...

At least JMM had the courage to fight anyone anytime.

Floyd was booed, what else is new? What I want to know is why does Floyd deserve any blame lmfao? Pac fans, you're history. Floyd was always FOTD to true boxing fans.

    Marquez KO6 Pac > May UD12 Pac

    But Floyd schooled Marquez too.

I said on many threads already, as soon as 2012's KTFO6 happened, Mayweather's win over Marquez was destined to be a more significant achievement than any subsequent win over Pac.
Especially in the manner we saw last weekend, a harmless pitty-pat boring UD.

    Money-wise, 2015 worked out incredible.
But in terms of true legacy fight, a really significant historical win that could compare with the famous wins of true elite ATGs, Mayweather missed the boat on Pacquiao BIG TIME.
2009, 2010, 2011 it was there for him, but as soon as KTFO6 happened at end of 2012 it evaporated really.

I was saying as much before the fight, and nothing's changed.
Some people seem to be in denial, but in time everyone will have to admit that Mayweather left Pac on the shelf too long and it spoiled. :good

And, to be honest, Mayweather didn't help himself with such a performance.
He had KO6 to beat, in a way.

The only thing that changed is #48 is #5 P4P. FIFTH best of his generation. Many of us knew #48 would be dominated in this fashion FIVE YEARS AGO.

    KTFO6 definitely greater than Floyd/#48
    just as Gatti/Ward > Floyd/#48

#48 didn't show up. All four of those guys aren't at Floyd's level but they put on good shows for casuals. Clowns put on good shows at the carnival too for casuals.

Yeah, but fighting him when he was at his best would mean more.
What's Floyd then ? Just a guy who fights washed-up clowns in fraudulent fights ? Is that was you think ?
Obviously. Yes, you're definitely on to something.

One talented fighter and a bunch of clowns, and the talented fighter doesn't even hurt them.

I know, it's sad. Boxing sucks these days. You don't have to tell me. It's better to laugh than cry though. :good

    This.

Floyd's extraordinary defense and accurate counterpunching is the best in this era, but the excessive use of clinching, elbow, and some unnecessary movements just to make himself out of harms way makes him a lot different from Marquez, who makes his way to land his combinations even risking to getting knocked down. Juan's counter punches, even though slower than floyd's is a thing to behold. Give Juan the speed of Pacquiao, I guess he could have more chances against Floyd in their last fight. and Floyd cheated on the scales with Juan

    I agree

    Marquez is under appreciated

Not only that but hes not particularly physically gifted which further demonstrates his exceptional skills
