Porter would run him down like a dog and beat the old man savagely in a very brutal in the trenches kind of fight.

Thurmas would walk him down and KO him..just far too big and powerful.

He'll make 3x as much fighting pacquiao and he knows the style inside and out...i predict pacquiao crushes him like he was on route to doing last time. Nontheless, the end result will not be as brutal as the above outcomes.

I don't blame JMM. Porter v JMM would be interesting. make it happen.

The only options he has if he wants that WW title are:

    -Pacquiao V, WBO
    -Mayweather II, RING/WBC/WBA
    -Porter, IBF

Marquez has said over and over that he will not fight Floyd again and if he is thought to not be bluffing and indeed doesn't want to fight Pac again, then Porter seems the only logical opponent since getting a WW title is his last motivation...

I think in the end he will fight Pacquiao for a fifth time.

He wasn't getting low balled. At the time, he offered more of what he currently was worth. Instead, he fought John and lost. :patsch

    This...

Do we REALLY need to see JMM/PAC yet AGAIN?

It was good seeing him with Bradley and Alvarado. Now lets see him with Brook/Porter/Thurman. See if any of the new blood is ready for the Big Boys Ring yet.

This. I think JMM would be foolish to pass up on that pay day.

Nice to see someone taking a challenge over a payday. I wouldn't blame JMM for taking the money, but I respect this more and the fight will be more interesting for the fans.

I like it. JMM VS Pac 1 was close, I gave it to Pac by a point or two IIRC. I gave the second fight to JMM by about a point or two. I've watched it many times and always believe Marquez should have won. JMM clearly outboxed Pac (who'd only work the last 30 sec/rnd) in the third fight. KTFO6 was as epic as it was definitive, despite the work Pac put in the round prior.

I have JMM over Pac 3 fights to 1, with two very close fights. Having been on this forum for years and read through a countless number of related threads, I feel safe in saying that a large number of people would agree that the series has favored Marquez despite official records.

No need to see it yet again and from Marquez's standpoint, there is no way it would hold as high of a regard as KTFO6, even if he did KO him again. I'd rather see JMM vs Porter.

Good for JMM, enough of this Pacquaio BS. JMM vs Porter or Thurman is something I'd love to see.

Jmm isn't about millions or his life doesn't revolve around Pacquiao he's still gonna get paid and he's not afraid to take on anyone, never has. Prov is a monster, but get real mothafukas, he's Pacmans punching bag Prov is great and a nice guy, but he's not beating Marquez. Porter is a fight just as tough as a Prov fight, but if Porter isn't following the blueprint in outboxing Jmm, its going to be a war, but Jmm is unforgiving and will give Porter his first stoppage loss. Even Thurman would be wise not to go toe to toe with Marquez no one has been able to make him yield there.

I agree with Marquez's people, I don't want to see another fight with Pac. In a fair world, Marquez would have four wins anyway against Pacman. I would give Marquez major props for fighting Porter, Thurman, or Brook. Marquez is only 5'6. He looks like a lightweight still. That would be some true, Henry Armstrong type ****, if he actually fought one of the young guns. That being said, Marquez would get pounded by all three guys. He is simply to small. If he was 5'9, that would be a different story.

I give him more props for that

He fought Manny 5 times, you can't call him a *****... I doubt he wants to lose another close decision to Pac, and at 40, he'll risk getting stopped, which after 5 fights is kinda unnecessary.
