Is total b.s , watched the fight again just right now & you can clearly see that jmm predicted what pac was going to do. All night pac was landing straight punches. Moments before it happend jmm was going to throw it but you can see him hesitate. Then he saw it coming, slightly leaned to his left & perfectly landed the shot. All the steps he took to make sure he landed a monster shot proves it was not lucky. He just didint throw a random shot, he landed the perfect shot because he predicted & saw what pac intended to do. That my friends is what we call the sweet science. Jmm fan or not you cant say it was lucky.
1. Marquez landed that shot plenty oftimes on manny it was a perfect counter to mannys usual routine of double feint jabs then straight left 2. Marquez practiced this shot in preperation for the 4th fight. Theres footage of him dropping a sparrin partner with this same shot Lost a bit of respect for manny after he said it was lucky... I expect that **** from roach but ud think manny would realise he got countered beautifully and give marquez his props With these latest comments i could see it fuelling talks for a 5th fight which i honestly am over seeing lol...rios is an exciting fighter and a breath of fresh air
i agree.the only thing you could call lucky is the bell didn't sound before he landed it.he knocked down a sparring partner with the EXACT same punch.
It was beautiful set up, not luck. I had not noticed before but he had almost thrown it moments before but you can see him hesitate. The way he was backing up. Kind of suprised manny didint see it coming. Its like jmm was baiting him .
It was luck, look at the feet, pacman tripped while feinting on jmm and dropped his hands in anticipation of falling over and jmm just saw pacman coming at him with hands down and for that split second landed the perfect shot
That sounds like the complete opposite of a lucky punch. It sounds like JMM was in position to punch, was ready, had his eyes open and even though the round was basically over never took his mind off the business at hand. It sounds like it was an opportunity that he took full advantage of. Also, by the way, he didn't trip, he leaped forward with his hands down and his chin high in the air and paid the price against a great counter-puncher.
Please stop with talks about feet. This was the exact same excuses in the 3rd fight. Jmm predicted what pac was going to do and it lead to the ko.
It was the perfect setup. He walked through fire taking a shellacking in order to land the coup de grĂ¢ce
"Lucky punch" = I was stupid enough to pull a lousy 1-1-2 on the dying seconds of the round that I was winning so I walked face first on a perfectly timed counter. Of course I had to make sure that I was jumping around as usual so when the punch hits, my face will absorb the full impact.
Golovkin thinks the left hook to the body that put down Macklin was a lucky punch because of the positioning. It's all about the perfect timing plus the positioning. I still don't think it should be called "lucky".
If that's what he's gotta tell himself then whatever but he can't fight any different and if there is yet another fight jmm is gonna get "lucky" again.
