The best way to find out who the best fighter is is from their h2h fights. what counts is who wins when they fight. One may be more skillful but its not all about the skill. its also about the physical and mental attributes of the fighter. and based on the h2h, my ranking is

You are quick to note how Marquez shoots his straight right, one of his best weapons, but you neglected the body attack almost as much as Marquez himself.

Barrera is a two-fisted fighter, and you're either neglecting that also for the benefit of your post or you just haven't seen Barrera's fights in which he won. Marco had a career before 2003 by the way, in fact he was fighting for over a decade prior to that.

Marco has a superior jab to Marquez, and he's more comfortable throwing a left hook to the body. He's naturally left handed, and he puts punches in clusters better than Marquez does, but it could be argued otherwise if you're willing to say "Barrera is overrated in terms of Boxing ability". Which you clearly are.

At the tail end of Morales and Barrera's career, and Marquez beat him in my humble opinion. Boxing is never an exact science, it only is if you want it to be.
