Dude should take on a fighter that emulates or has a similar style to that of Pac but is an easy win for him......for decent preparation/training....So he is active, stays sharp and is continually training. Inactivity is what will do him in.
Still think Demarco would be the best fight. Could even be made for the vacant title, because Soto is likely to vacate (Wont fight his mandatory, Demarco, they are cousins). It is a more than winnable fight for Marquez, Demarco is tough but quite limited, doesn't really pose a threat to Marquez with his style, and it would still be a quality name for Juan to add to his resume. Makes sense :conf
It's not about money or else he would not be putting up his own money to have a tune up fight under Marquez Promotions. He is not dying for money like Mosely who was ass raped by his ex wife. Marquez is in it to win, and if he didn't get trough david diaz it means he wasnt ready for the best fighter of the decade and age finally caught up to the avoided one. He ain't risking **** but coming in not ready...
He shouldn't fight at all... it would be stupid if he got cut or injured and missed out on his chance against Pacquiao.
No need for this fight. Not sure why they just didn't schedule the fight(JMM/Pac) for second week of September(Mexican Independence Day). That date is usually reserved for big fights such this!
A half-decent southpaw is what he needs. Alexander? I would honestly see JMM stopping him. Might be too violent though. I wouldn't be surprised if JMM shut him out and didn't take too much punishment, his rhythm is so damn timeable, but the risk is just too great. A tune-up is necessary, but at the proper risk level-low.
Exactly. WATCH OUT JMM YOU MIGHT LOSE TO A BUM AND THEN LOSE YOUR CHANCE TO BEAT PAC! The logic doesn't make sense. Coming in sharp is very important, especially for someone at this stage in their career. Roach would say the same thing.
