I know that this has been covered to death, but after re-watching the fight twice in the last few days I really feel that Marquez won the fight. Other than Round 1, 2, and 10 Marquez dominated Pac by picking off his punches and bending down to avoid the straight left, while landing tons of uppercuts to the body and straight right hands. I could see someone giving Pac round 9 (however Marquez landed 1 more punch and has a better percentage) but that is about it. 114-111 Marquez is appropriate, 113-112 Marquez is totally acceptable and I guess 113-112 Pac wouldn't be unheard of. 115-110 for Pac is INSANE, and 115-110 JMM is pretty unrealistic as well. I have long since picked Marquez to win the rematch and after re-watching the fight, i am sticking with my prediction. Marquez knows what he is in for and can figure out the puzzle of Pacman. There is no answer for all around intelligent fighting and Pac never figured it in the first fight. I bet 200 vCash on Marquez to win and but 20 on the draw for the hell of it.
if i remember correctly ... dan rafael from espn scored it like 116-112 for marquez.... i read it the other day but i have marquez winning the fight as well an i think hell win this weekend but it will be tought pac is training really tought cuz he knows he has a hard fight at hand
dammit you got me.I've never been able to figure out online betting sites that were reliable. But I would bet real cash on marquez if I knew of a good way. I used to have a buddy who lived in vegas but he moved.
Pacquaio won the first round 10-6 or 10-7. The second round he took as well. After that he won one round beyond dispute. Another was close and could have gone either way. And the rest of the fight was easy to score IMO, as Marquez clearly picked him apart.
That's a fair assessment, except that Pacquiao has devleoped a larger offensive arsenal and a more solid defence in the time since the last fight...So it's not the same Pac either.
i too think th 115-110 were over the top. there were a lot of close rounds so the draw is fine by me.
Clements clearly caught to have "screwed up" for not making 10-6 in round 1. The ABC rule was as clear as crystal. Fighter that was decked more than 2 times should be meted 10-6. Statutory construction says: If the law doesn't distinguish, don't distinguish!
it does not really matter dwelling in the past guys. the score will be settled in a few days. we will finally know who the better fighter is
i think the late rounds were close pac wins rounds 1 and 2. Marquez wins 3 to 6 rounds 7 through 12 were all pretty close i had it 113-112 for Pac
Its kinda funny how Arum stated that the way Pac man is training he looks unbetable...well IMO Marquez is really the unbetable boxer. The loss to Chris John we all know it was a fluke fukin indonesian judges. his only true losses are to fredie norwood in which it was a really close fight and Javier Duran which was a DQ. As oposed to PAC who has suffered 3 davastating losses (2TKO).
