in p4p ATG? I don't think there is anything JMM can do to rank above Pacman except maybe beat Canelo and then move up and beat Martinez. That might almost do it.

He'd have to really outdo Pac' performance against Bradley. IMO there's already an argument for ranking JMM ahead though, I feel you can beat somebody and overtake them so long as there isn't an enormous gap in your resumes (Barrera-Jones, Ali-Norton). Depending on how you view the fights, it's reasonable to conclude that JMM's resume is below but not leagues below Pac's.

    Just so odd.

If Marquez beat Canelo and Martinez for the legitimate 154 and 160 pound titles, would there be any question he'd rate higher than Pacquiao? That'd be an absurd accomplishment.

The gap is too significant to be overcome with a fighter like Bradley. Solid win but Manny has plenty of better victories.

Now if Marquez beat Floyd (never happening but a man can dream), then the discussion could begin.

Well to answer both you and Bogotazo, I think the difference with Pacman and JMM is huge, which is why I say Marquez would have to have those kinds of wins to match Manny. Would he beat those two guys? Of course now, which is me saying there is no way JMM can ever match Pacman. Even if we say 130 and below is equal for Manny and JMM, which I do not think it was, at 135 and above the resume and Manny is so much deeper.

Marquez already beat Pacman 4 times, alongside a plethora of other top wins, he ranks above him already. But yea Pacman beat Margarito, he's the bestest ever

You could almost say the burden is on Manny to have the much better wins. When you get beaten clearly, and multiple times by most people's accounts, your resume needs to be good enough to justify leapfrogging them. This is not Norton-Ali or Barrera-Jones. Pac's win over Barrera is his best single win, and Barrera improved on his performance in the Pac rematch. In between that span, he fought Marquez. Not so clear a difference. Marquez cleaned out lightweight, while Pacquiao beat Cotto and Margarito and DLH and Hatton. Pac's wins are better, but the difference is not so vast.

A majority of fans simply don't see it that way. The very least you could score it is 2-2. No way Manny won the third.

In terms of accomplishments Manny is ahead but there is not much of a gap when ranking them PFP and ATG.
