IMO Pacquiao's wins in going up in weight are controversial and really to me the solid ones are as follows Diaz Hatton Clottey Cotto Solid but you look at Marquez wins in coming up in weight and they are not that bad either. Casamayor Diaz Katsidis Pacquiao I know I know, "but but but Katsidis and Casamayor were not that good at the time" ok but was David Diaz that good? Was Hatton not one of the worst lineal champs at 140? Clottey is a gatekeeper too so you can nit pick both fighters wins.
This has been said 1000 times, but ill say it again. Jmm wouldn't beat all the guys Pac beat at the times he beat them, and the weights he did it at. How hard is that to understand. Jmm is a great fighter who stylistically is Pacs nightmare, but that doesn't change their resume. How many times throughout history has this exact scenario played out?
why does marquez have to beat those exact guys it makes no snse. if he beats better guys in the next few years he has a case to be higher margarito and clottey were nothin special n mosley was shot to hell
You have proof that JMM wouldnt beat that shitty Cotto Pacquiao beat in 2009??? I dont have proof that JMM will beat that Cotto but I'm not claiming it as fact. Personally I believe he can BUT I HAVE NO PROOF THAT HE WOULD so I wont state my opinion as fact like you.
Also DLH = shot, past prime, at a weight he hadnt made in centuries, needed effing iv before going into the ring(you freaking serious?? yeah it happened, roach saw the iv marks)
Pac above JMM for weight jump but JMM has never been put to sleep (or lost to pac convincingly, by my scorecard).
Casa was considered finished by the entire boxing community when Jmm faced him. He was He had barely even fought till the Jmm fight and that was considered just a fight for jmm to claim the Ring belt. If you take Hoya off Pacs list you must take Casa from Jmm. Katsidis had been broken by both Casa and Diaz before Jmm got him. And I mean he really took a lot of punishment.. If you discount Marg, then likewise take Katsidis from Jmm. Diaz I still consider a big win. But going by your logic he was completely schooled by Nate Campbell who was only seen as a high level journeyman /gatekeeper type fighter. which would prove he wasn't that good to begin... if you're gonna use this level of scrutiny just try and do it just...
Yea I figured Cotto was Pacs Diaz. side by side skull those guys compared.. the ones on Pacs resume are greater, now take the full resume from start to finish and Pacs just stacks higher.
JMM never has been put to sleep this is true. The man has a solid chin, incredible heart, and recovery. This much cannot be denied, and is part of the intangibles that make him an atg.
Diaz redeemed himself by beating Katsidis AFTER HE THE CAMPBELL LOSS. At the time Katsidis was a solid win because the time Katsidis had only lost to Casa. You wanna nit pick more??? Hatton was considered done after LAZCANO A LIGHTWEIGHT WITH FEATHER FIST NEARLY KNOCKED HIM OUT. Now when Marquez beat Katsidis he had a string of 3 wins and one of them was a top ten 135'r in Escobedo right before he fought Marquez. Katsidis became a decent win after that.
