You want me to say he fought at 154 so he say he didn't, but let us say he fought good 154 pound fighters like Mosley and Delahoya, Cotto and Margarito. Guys who fought at 154 and fought well, regardless of catchweights which I have never been in favor of. Cannot get much better than that as far as competition, and how would JMM have done against those two regardless of a catchweights? Not too well. Manny fought guys who JMM never would have fought, which is why a fight between Manny and Floyd would have been more competitive than JMM vs. Floyd. Manny had faster hands which made it so that he could handle the bigger guys. It wasn't that Manny was bigger, it was that Manny had more skills and speed. I still think he would have lost to Floyd. But Floyd never wanted to fight him. But that is why I mentioned fighting bigger guys. Manny proved more, same as I think Hearns proved more than Leonard in terms of fighting bigger guys, but that discussion is a whole new thread. I think in Hearns case his more success at the higher weights brought him closer to Ray in terms of ATG, as well as other wins.
