JMM Rejects Cortez for Diaz fight

watch the fight again and come back and honestly say it was a good performance by cortez. it was biased and spoiled the early action. a different ref probably wouldn't have changed the result but he was terible that night.

 

He should ask for Juan dela Cruz. Best in the business

 

Why the hell would you want that for?
I hope you are joking, otherwise you don't want your hero to beat the other guy at his best, and that would be a fake accomplishment wouldn't you think?

 

Cortez isn't a great ref but before the fight Hatton fans thought he was a good choice. The bottomline is it really didn't matter who the ref was PBF is clearly the superior fighter.:deal There was no way in hell a fighter who's as reckless, wide open with no jab would beat a elite counter-puncher like PBF period.

I think this might have more to do with the Soto/Lorenzo fight. I think that fight really hurt him as a viable ref in the future. Good for Marquez!

 

good for jmm..cortez should be banned.. If hatton has any sense he will lend jmm mickey vann, and keep him over for the may 2nd bout. let the guys fight ffs. Smoger is always he best though.. Hatton should get smoger

 

joe cortez should not be allowed anywhere near a boxing ring after the mayweather-hatton antics he pulled off. I suppose we didnt help by boo'ing the USA anthem.

Cortez disqualifies Soto for a grazing punch when Lorenzo was going down.

Cortez doesn't even warn Pac for punching Marquez when he was obviously down.

Cortez is biased against Hatton's smothering style, and does not let Hatton get into rythm.

Cortez lets Hopkins do his smothering against Calzaghe.

Cortez SUCKS. He is not FAIR nor FIRM.

Trouble being that he couldnt stop hopkins getting away with the same against calzaghe.
Cortez is on the slide and hopefully he wont get to interfere with too many more big fights.
