Might be worth a crack, though I can't see him going for it.
Hope he doesn't weigh in right on the 144 limit, I'd prefer it if he came in at 138 - 140 then Re-hydrated.

Well he's not gonna use Mackie. But he has stated that he will be using strength and conditioning coach as well as a nutritionist. There are a number of unknown guys out there that know as much as Mackie or even Ariza. It does show that JMM is taking this fight very seriously by adding something new to his camp. He said he learned from the Floyd fight that he should have got professional help before jumping up that much in weight. So, now we just have to wait and see how JMM shows up on fight night..

 

Marquez should hire Victor Conte.

 

Mackie was used a decoy.

RJJ, Hopkins, Holyfield and so many others used Steroids, EPO, HGH and other latest/newest PED's to bulk up and move up in weight, but they used a "nutritionist" as a "cover-up" to make people think that they moved up in weight .....

Thats what most of the big name fighters are now doing....using Conte's undetecable PED's.

 

Strength coaches are overrated plus Mackie's track record is at least debatable. Roy ended his prime with the Ruiz fight and had major issues going back to 175 while the Calzaghe fight was the only one B-Hop ever looked gassed.

Marquez is a career featherweight who used exceptional skills to move higher, but lightweight is his limit and he's 37 now, and there isn't a thing Mackie Shilstone can do about that.

 

Only Ponce de Leon(not daniel) can help JMM now.
