He's not a champion. Interim titles are bull**** and yes, I'm of the opinion that half of the title defences attributed to Golovkin are bogus and shouldn't be counted as legit defences. It is what it is.

Interim/regular/international 'titles' don't mean sheeeit. Their only real purpose is to tie a fighter to a particular governing body's rankings.

I'm yet to hear a good reason why Danny deserves more than any other mandatory contender who supposedly wants a shot at the title. He manouvered himself into the position of being mando and now he gets the mando split unless he can offer something particularly outstanding which he can't.

He doesn't have a legit belt to trade, won't sell any extra tickets and isn't a draw. I have no idea why we're pretending he has any sort of leverage to justify him being made an exception to the mando rules.

Well I've always thought 25% is too low for mandatory challengers. That said, I don't see why Danny 'deserves' any more than any other mando.

I didn't think Povetkin deserved a better split despite having in my view a much stronger case for doing so really can't see why Danny should get one and if it wasn't Golovkin involved I'd imagine a lot of the people here complaining would be singing a very different tune.
