Well so the rumour goes..:yep Other site reporting... According to promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions, WBO interim-junior welterweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1, 39KOs) has advised him that his preference is to fight a lefty on July 14th at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Among the possible names mention, include undefeated Mercito Gesta (25-0-1, 13KOs) and top-rated Paul McCloskey (23-1, 12KOs), who faces DeMarcus Corley on May 5th. Several other boxers are being considered, says Beltran, and indicates that Brandon Rios (30-0-1, 22KOs) is not one of them.
:dead Marquez by stoppage in the mid rounds. He'll catch up with McCloskey at some point, from then on it won't be long until it's over.
I wouldn't fancy McCloskeys chances there, **** sake if Pacman gets schooled by Marquez again recently, what chance does Dudey have?
I've only watched Broner once and heard him speak about three times - and already I want to see him banged out. Not because he offends me in any way, just these raging nutters who think he's right up there already. :dead
Beltran is looking for a southpaw in anticipation for pacquiao 4 (as if they can actually get a decision) and at 140, Judah aside, there isnt much besides mccloksey (who isnt anything like pac anyway). Its meant to be for a 'big' card at the cowboys, so id say there will be some decent fights because i cant see this doing a big gate. few decent match ups, jmm gets his 6/7 rounds fighting a southpaw in, dudey gets well paid and everyone goes home happy. thats if it HAS to be a southpaw
