I thought that in the first fight, JMM clearly dominated the action after the first round. I actually had JMM winning on my card. However, since then I do think that Pacman has improved, and JMM is getting a bit older. JMM is a master boxer, and I think that if he sticks to counter punching, that he can pick up where he left off and pick Pacman apart. Then again, as I said Pacman has definitely got better at using his right hand since they first fought, and that could really change the complexion of this fight.

I like JMM by decision as well - I also had him winning 114-111 ... he swept the next 9 rounds after the first round ... he lost the 10th, won the 11th, and sightly lost the 12th.

Look alot of people are using PAC mans lack of boxing skill as an excuse of why he didnt do so well. IMO I thought no matter how bad his skills were Marquez was having his way with him regarldless if Pac threw his left or not. PAC had Poor defense, limited options, and pretty much he was being handled and after the Barrera fight....Manny has not improved enough to win this fight. This time there wont be 3 knockdowns in the first round its gonna be a continuation of the second round.

I thought Marquez won the first fight and if they would have rematchend then I think he would have won the fight. Now it seems he is easier to get to than when he first fought Pacquaio. I also think Pacquaio has improved on several parts of his game. Most importantly he isn't as reckless, which will negate JMMs countering ability. This is a very even match. I just think, due to JMMs age, he won't be able to outbox Pacquaio as effectively as he did last time. Pacquaio by split decision.

Interesting that alot people hold your same opinion.

I happen to agree with Nacho Beristein's opinion that if Pac fights much like he did in the MAB rematch, its going to make JMM's job alot easier.

Nacho states that its much harder to disect a wildcat who comes at you from odd angles, than it is a more conventional fighter.

A more conventional fighter you can time, and outthink him by setting traps, but a wild reckless fighter, you have to be more reflexive, in many instances you have to weather the storm by taking yourself somewhat and playing their game while the storm subsides.

For a fighter like JMM, he'd rather fight a conventional fighter with the proper stance and know where the shots are coming from.

Nacho went on to state that what has made Pacquiao the special fighter that he is, is his wildness and not knowing exactly from what angle and what stance he'd throw shots from.

I keep hearing about improvement to Pac's game, but will the things he's improved on help or hinder his chances vs JMM?
There are certain skills that take a career to learn properly.
To think that Pac has perfected these new found skill in only a couple of years I get a chuckle out of!:yep

......and btw, my opinion is that the Phillipines will be in silence while they view a two fisted Pac getting disected every which way.

Yes, Mirani imo is mistaken in thinking that a two fisted Pac will decrease JMM's opportunities, the feeling here is that JMM is the more versatile of the two by far, and adding more variables and exponents to the equation will only seperate the disparity of the level of each fighter even further.
In other words, Pac has learned new things in the last couple of years and has graduated highschool.
.....now fresh out of highschool, he wants to put these new found skills and match them with a college proffesor!

.....thats putting yourself in the line of fire toward a rude awakening of where you stand skillwise against a true master of his craft.

If a prime Shaquile O'neal is going to battle Kareem Abduljabbar on a one on one basketball contest, he's not going to do himself any favors by attempting to outfinesse the king of finesse.
Shaq will be advised to overpower Kareem and attempt to steamroll through him.

I dont care how much attention and improvement Shaq pays to his finesse game, he'll never reach the level of Kareem.
The same logic holds of Pac against JMM!

Bring on the fireworks Pac, because you're not going to do it any other way vs JMM!

I'm pretty confident that JMM skills are enough to defeat PAC.

My main concern is whether or not he's going to be busy enough in the last rounds to make sure the judges are convinced he's in charge and taking the rounds.
