For you nighthawks, Fat Dan tweets

"Although no live TV in US for JM Marquez-Ramos on Sat. night @trboxing tells me that the fight WILL be streamed live on the Top Rank website."

Not a great fight but better than nothing since Showtime and HBO have no boxing on Sat night. Hopefully they will show the Roman Gonzalez and Rafa fights too.:good

sounds like a dirty boxer, been deducted points for rabbit punching and has been biting boxers shoulders.

Dont understand the Garcia is 18-4 following this fight comment

He should've fought a welter/light welter over the scales to prepare for the size that Pac now possesses and give himself a chance to get used to more weight.

IMO anyway, a warm up fight is a good idea, this choice of opponent seems pointless.

I don't think Marquez needs to worry about bulking up or putting on a lot more weight then usual. The weight is not gonna win or lose him the fight. It'll be the styles.

Pacquiao's size is exaggerated. People make out like he's bulked up to some hulk like figure. The truth is Pacquiao won't put on anymore then 4 or 5 lbs come fight night. It's his technique and skillset that's made him improve and put on beatdown after beatdown, not the weight.

If i was Marquez i wouldn't worry about the weight, just train and see where it takes you. Don't concentrate on putting on much weight or making a certain higher number. He should just come in at around 138/139.

hopefully Rafa's fight is on as well, my personal favourite of the 2 Marquez's. Not a great opponent but hopefully it can act as a springboard to get back in title contention
