Why? JMM is the only elite non-disgraced or shot Mexican boxer out there right now.

You mutts are characters..lol. Do you know how popular that mother****er is now. This aint Floyd from the Gatti fight..lol. The dude done 900k in ppv against Hatton...:rofl Nobody in the ****ing USA knows who Hatton is. Floyd became a big deal after the ODH fight, WWE bull****, dancing with the stars BIG TIME commercials..the dude is known...this is a comeback fight and he left out in impressive fashion. This is a easy 500k ppv. It would be better if he fought Shane, but its a good money fight before a great money fight. A good 8 mill Marquez probably gets 2-3 good money for everybody.

For those not in the know Floyd is alumni of commercials (AT&T), WWE, Dancing With the Stars, 24/7, etc. He's now a household name for better or for worse. As a boxer you don't land commercials unless you're viable. Floyd is viable. He's able to generate his own publicity by playing the super-villain. Everybody loves to see the super-villain lose. Believe me, JMM vs PBF ain't gonna have a similar draw in America as Klitschko vs ???

Alright **** stained teethesess. Who the **** in america knows or pays for Hatton ppvs. When has this mother****er ever fought on ppv in the USA. Against Tsyu..nope..against..Yo Paulie.nope.. neither before or after Floyd has this guy been on ppv. While Floyd been on ppvs with Judah and ****ing Baldomir that did good #s. HBO would not even do business with the mother****er if they did not think he brought the money. He made 24/7 what the **** it is. You dickintheass mofos are ****ing hilarious. Hatton needed pacman to do a ppv in the states..:rofl. Floyd done them with ****ing baldomir and judah..

Are you ******ed? Look at the the pics side by side, JMM is a midget. Floyd should be embarrassed to even call for a catchweight in this fight.

Im glad you have alot of ****in money...now go spend $50 on your boyfriend.

Nobody has ever stopped talking about Floyd because of his ****in continued display of classlessness more so than his fans like you who couldnt wait for him to fight again albeit against a man significantly smaller. Boxing was fine without him. Thats a fact!

He must have jumped out of seat the moment JMM called him out.

I wonder if Cotto had called his ass out, I wonder if hed come out of retirement

Look, it's not the hardcore fanbase' fight. It's about to rip off the Latino community and the average viewers who don't care about weigh classes and will be hyped up by 24/7. They don't know about the horrible disadvantage JMM is at, so they'll look at it as a bigtime, 2-sided superfight.

Which will result in great buys.

Dumbass what has changed between the $50 yesterday and 8 years ago...nothing its still a $50 dollar bill what i decide to spend my money on is what i decide to spend MY money on....

People over the last 2years have been begging Floyd for interviews all types of ish he's been out of the spotlight the people brought Floyd back to the ring!!!

He's a natural 130 fighter (Mayweather) he's not even asking Marquez to come up to welterweight he's actually losing some weight (ask Roy what happens when you lose weight) so the weight differential is not really an argument seeing that Manny and Floyd have both proven when your good enough you can bang at any weight within reason...

Hell yea i jumped outta my seat when Marquez called Floyd out because i knew that the return wasn't far away...he had the balls to actually do it. Cotto is a robot he does what he's told and shuts the **** up and that's why he fought a guy like Jennings in his comeback after his lost maybe if he did step up and say something he can have his chance to lose to Floyd as well.

Cotto...Margarito...Mosely...hell even last night after Pac...NEVER SAID "Floyd Mayweather Jr. your a ***** and you won't fight ME!!!!

Marquez says "Manny is scared of me and since Manny is scared I would love for Floyd Mayweather Jr. to come out of retirement and fight me....well i'll be damned!!!!

It worked for Ricky too!!! And you see where it got him!

I think the PPV numbers will be alright - the Floyd/Pac anticipation will help keep them up, Floyd hasn't been gone *that* long & retained reasonable profile and, as mentioned, a strong Latin contingent. Certainly more anticipation than Baldomir.

    $50 x 400,000 = $20mil. It won't be a huge fight, but it'll be far from a disaster.

I do think the live gate could be rather soft, though. But I don't think that's significant enough to cause a major financial problem.
