Same old story. Ultimately, Whitaker just too fast, too skilled.

horrible style matchup here. two counter punchers makes for a boring fight and jmm will have problems against counter punchers who are faster / more athletic then he is.

Sweet Pea with a nice wide UD. Kinda like Floyd/JMM where Sweet Pea is able to tag JMM but JMM can't seem to find him.

Whitaker wide UD. Sweat pea is too fast, too slick and quite simply too good.

JMM by KO in the 8th or 7th.

Marquez probably wouldn't clearly win a round over the distance. I'd predict a shutout win for Pea - his style completely neutralizes Marquez's. And at any range Pea decides to fight at, he's going to get the better of the action.

At Lightweight? I feel the Lightweight Marquez that moved up at the age he did simply wasn't as sharp a boxer as he had been in his past. Then again, he turned into a more effective aggressor. Whitaker is all wrong for him for many reasons, his entire style is basically his kryptonite. I favor Whitaker to win but I'm curious as to what strategy JMM would try knowing full well what style awaited him.

Jmm has time and time again showed his strengths and weaknesses... PEA MAKES THE floyd fight look like a walk in the park for Juan... Wrong man, wrong style....

Somehow, they both end up ducking Humberto Soto

Horrible style matchup for Marquez, Pea is a defensive counter puncher who is even more defensively skilled than Mayweather.
He also has a very skilled jab.

Problem (and why hes so popular now) with Marquez is that when faced with a defensive fighter he will let go of his counter punching and go on the attack much like vs Mayweather.

If you really want to see a fight for the ages put in a prime JMM vs a Duran... now those are styles that mesh for something amazing (Duran would win but still)

Comfortable win for Pete. Only Duran has a chance with a lightweight Pete in the last 40 years.

The worst style match up for Marquez here.

Marquez is my boy, but he gets shutout in this one.
