Obviously comparing Bradley and Floyd is pushing it, I just tried to put it in a counterpuncher vs counterpuncher sense. Anyways, I'd take a prime Bradley at 29 over a Casamayor at 38. And EVEN THEN the scorecards had it a majority draw at 95-95 before Casa went down. There's a reason why JMM and Nacho don't want to fight Bradley, and its because they know stylistically its not in their favor.
The problem is that Bradley, when pushed, becomes undisciplined as a counterpuncher and subsequently leaves himself wide open. Juanma can draw him into a war and pick him apart. Floyd can keep his cool (besides having better measurables); Bradley can lose sight of the gameplan for the sake of a fight, and a seasoned master like Juanma will make him pay dearly for it.
Well first off Bradley is barely a counter-puncher. He's more likely to eat counters if he punches low like he usually does. He's a sucker for an overhand right. Nacho even instructed him to let him take the early rounds. Third, could their reluctance have nothing to do with the fact Bradley just had a host of empty seats in a hometown arena? Not exactly the most marketed fighter. Besides, Marquez just explicitly named him as an opponent in consideration.
Meh I don't know where you got that Nacho told Marquez to let Casa win the early rounds. I don't know any trainer that would tell their fighter that. Nacho was screaming "Combinations!" between every round, including the early ones if I remember correctly, and pushing him to pressure the fight. Anyways points made. I'd still take Bradley over Marquez.
Yeah I noticed that about Bradley. I mean if he stuck to a solid game plan without overexerting himself like he's prone to, I'd bet he could snooze to a victory. Kinda like what Chris John did.
Jmm & nacho don't want that fight.... You know what it is.... All those emotions because of scumbags blaming him for *ucking Pacquaio up...well guess what THE DESERT STORM IS A FORCE OF NATURE... He cut weight & been off 10 months...& still was in that young lion's *ss
I hope this fight is made. Only disadvantage for Marquez is his age in this fight. Other than that, Marquez is the superior fighter in every way.
I got it from watching the fight, and listening to Nacho talk in the corner between rounds. There was one round in specific he said it.
Would love top see this fight, but Bradley just took a hellacious whuppin' even in victory. It would have to be fight after next for JMM so that we make sure that Desert Storm is all the way good to go. That said, Bradley will fight smarter against Dinamita so I'll take JMM by UD.
