I Just watched for the first time JMM Vs Chris John. And I have to say, that was one of the worst decisions I've seen in a long time. It rivaled the Holyfield Lewis draw. I gave JMM every round except the rounds that points were taken , and even then, one of those rounds could of been called even.
It was said that Willy Pep won a round with out throwing one punch. Well this guy John apperently won nine and ten rounds by hitting air and gloves.
Malagnaggi has nothing to complain about if he watches this one.

It was a shocker but not sure it compares with Holy-Lewis...a few rounds were sorta hard to score...and rightly or wrongly John had that 2 point buffer.

I gave JMM 10 rounds and John 2

there were only 2 close rounds and I gave them to JMM, even if I give those 2 close rounds to JOhn with the point deductions it should still be a clear win for JMM.

I have JMM career set on dvd and I thought he clearly won, though there were several rounds. To me this is more interesting as this was one Marquez changed into a agressive come forward boxer. He had to travel to Indonesia and got paid $36,000 for his trouble, he must have being terribly unmotivated. He relised the America audieces wanted action, like in his fight with Pacquiao, so he changed his style. Its obvious in his very next fight against Jandaeng when he comes out blasting and gets cut. Jesus he had some terrible fights in his youth but from a technical standpoint was pretty complete.

Its hard to win in Indonesia, Thailand and South Korea by decision.

    Its a sad fact:-(

I have yet to see this fight although the way I've heard some journalists and commentators talk about it, it was close enough that Marquez and co. didn't fuss about it. John is an excellent fighter too. Doesn't have near the crack that JMM has though.

And I'd add that if JMM was robbed, John can empathize now, as he was essentially robbed by being given a draw against Juarez, in my opinion. But of course taking a loss unfairly is far worse than getting a draw.

i wonder how much robberies matter anyway

boxing fans know the real winner in a robbery, and it may go down in history as a L, but it goes down with a big * beside it
