I got JMM by TKO on this one.

Lets be honest a good counter-puncher would be a nightmare for Campbell.
Everytime he stepped up against a good fighter he lost except for Diaz who was his very big break.

If Marquez shows up as good as he was at 135 for this fight at 140 he will grab the win.

The only thing that makes me angry is the date of May 1st. Thats just way too far away, specially for Campbell.

Bad matchup for Marquez. Campbell has a long reach, high output, great stamina, and a great chin. He doesn't have the skill or accuracy of Marquez, but he can hustle and grind his way to a win over the aged, small, slowed Marquez.

Marquez needs to wait for Hatton, realizing that Hatton is a mega pay day and his career may be finished. IMO Hatton is a much easier fight than Campbell, unless Campbell shows up shot. Marquez's legs looked bad against Diaz, he's become an immobile counter-punching machine fighting above his weight class.

I love Juan, but I might have to bet against him from here on out.

Neither guys is really a 140er... just seems odd that they would fight there. Cool if it happens though.

I dont get why marquez wants to fight at any weight above 135 , its hard to believe that he cant make the weight anymore ,the point is he weighted 142 pounds against maywather and looked like he was pregnant i dont think that 2 pounds less will make much of a diffrence , 140 will still affect his speed, he'll be smaller than the top dogs with relatively less power, physical strength etc,so theres plenty of disadvantages he has to deal with at 140 and i dont think its worth it ,he should go back to 135 where he belongs and clean it up.

I agree he should immediately return to 135 where Valero and Katisidis are waiting for him. Realistically, he isn't even that strong at 135 but there's no money down at 130 anymore.

Listening to what Marquez had to say right after his loss to Mayweather........he concluded that he felt he would have done much better had he had a few fights above 140 lbs to get his body accustomed to fighting at that weight.

......so having said that, the reason for Marquez-Campbell to be made at 140 lbs is that 140 lbs would likely be the weight for Marquez to fight Pacquiao.

......any fight with Pacquiao would be at or above the 140 lbs limit.

......so as long as Marquez still has Pacquiao on his mind, its a good idea for him to fight at 140 lbs and let his body get accustomed to it.

Nate was fouled, victimized by an incompetent ref, and suffered from vision impairment, all of which hardly qualifies him as a "crybaby" as you've claimed him to be.

Even his ko defeat to Peden doesn't warrant such a claim. On the contrary, Nate was probably a little too "manly" for his own good by arrogantly dropping his gloves.

Cintron's crybaby resume however consists of literally crying after losing to Maragrito, pulling out of a fight against PTP because of an alleged hand injury only to make himself available to fight shortly after PTP committed himself to fighting Quintana and then preceded to call out every significant welter except for PTP, and lastly claiming he was stuck by a phantom headbutt which may have swayed the ref from awarding Martinez the KO victory that he clearly deserved.

    Cintron's crybaby status

unlike floyd, Nate is also at his best at 135 and is nowhere near 140's top five. marquez would destroy him
