This would have been a great matchup. A skilled counterpuncher vs a great inside brawler. I would say the closest to this at this moment is Juan Diaz V Marquez.
Well... to be fair, a prime Castillo would've defeated JMM, I have no doubts about that. JLC is a natural LW, JMM is a natural FW. In his prime Castillo was a very strong physical force, gave two very tough fights to Floyd, had a great great chin, good stamina, very decent power and good pressure style - too much for JMM at 135 IMO, he's really a 126.
He did but i think to be fair Casa was as good as him (JLC vs Casa close fight) and great great chin to:good
yeah but JMM didn't beat a prime Casa, just one that wasn't totally shot. JMM doesn't really belong imho at 135. He chased Manny to 130 and then to 135 and really could probably still be fighting at FW.
Castillo isnt just a brawler. He is a smart pressure fighter, who would not give as many countering chances to JMM as a lot of people might think. I think he beats Marquez up for a wide decision.
