funny - you are totally mute on who are those 24 boxers he knocked out!
basically the same as Valero. Impressive record but all KO's are with NOBODY's!!!!

You can even make it 40++ KO's buddy! As long as it's with NOBODY's!!!

    WHO CARES?!?

I'm sure Funake doesn't believe that himself but he is a very good fighter. with all of that said....JMM handidly beats Funeka and PAC would put him to slep.

Bold prediction and I saw this fight. Funeka is a very good fighter but he has flaws. You bring up how Raheem beat EM but again EM did not look like himself. Plus you can't guage how a fighter will preform against anther fight by using or comparing a common opponet. Styles make fights for the most part and would be true in a fight between JMM and Funeka or PAC vs Funeka.

Funeka had no worries with Zahir....he isn't any danger with regards to his power....what Funeka had to concern himself with was the slickness and the craftiness Raheem brought...but early on he was caught and I think that played a huge role in the outcome of the fight. Not taking anything away from Funeka b/c he proved to be very solid but the win against Zahir was only semi-impressive due to the fact that I saw defensive flaws with Funeka...

He drops his left when he shoots his big right hand and yes he does have a "HIGH TIGHT" guard at times...but commonly leaves his body open and has no lateral movment. The kid has potential but he's not ready for JMM or PAC.....I think he would be a great fight for Juan Diaz or Valero b/c he has a good shot at beating them.....Maybe Nate but I expect Nate to be too skilled in the end winning by a UD.

THe other thing about Funeka is that he also has a lazy jab.....raheem was able to come over the jab with his counter rights time and time again...the problem was that Raheem just didn't have the power to deter Funeka. PAC is much quicker and the being a lefty would make it very difficult for Funeka to cope with the speed and power PAC has. Fundementally Funeka is pretty sound but with defensive and offensive flaws that he shows in his game would be exposed by elite fighters like JMM and PAC.

JMM countering ability is too much for this punk and he has more precise punching, he would deal with this guy no problem
JMM has got bigger fish to fry if he wants to catch pac man in a trilogy

Funeka's not beating Pac or JMM, but he has the skills and tools to make noise in the weight class if he's willing to fight outside of South Africa. He reminds me a lot of Celestino Caballero. Awkward enough and powerful enough to give almost anyone some problems.

Even from watching the video of one fight, it's obvious that Funeka is a lot better than Prescott.

Of course he's not going to have a good resume. He fights out of a third-world country that only has a few world class fighters in his weight range (and he already fought one of them in his 11th pro fight). Nobody with that profile has a good resume until they get a big win or two under their belt and are able to get out of the country and fight bigger names. This is like the equivalent of complaining that Pacquiao didn't have a good resume when he was at Flyweight. Of course he didn't. It took until he had a few solid wins before he could get names to fight him.

Anyway, Funeka recently signed with Shaw, so I'm guessing we'll be seeing a lot of him on Showtime in the not too distant future. He'll probably be given the IBF belt in the next 6 months or so (I doubt Campbell will fight him), so we'll find out whether he's the real deal before too long. If he has a decent chin, with his frame, he could do damage from 130 (Raheem was only like his third fight at 135) all the way up to 154.
