I'd like to see JMM at 135 for another fight, but if he keeps his speed and power at 140 I think he could DEFINITELY give Hatton trouble or beat him. Marquez lives off of guys coming straight in. Hatton has gotten better at working his way in but I still see him getting befuddled by Marquez.
Hatton has no punching power left, no punch resistance and no defence, Jmm would murder him inside 5 rounds
Interesting fight but it WOULD NOT HAPPEN, WHY? 2009 - would be pac VS hatton or pac VS pbf JMM vs Juan diaz if pac wins over hatton he would likely fight pbf if he comes out of retirement. if he does not come out of retirement pac can fight JMM or other worthy opponent which could offer good $$$ for PAC. if PAC vs JMM happens... JMM vs hatton is unlikely to happen.. For the record... IMO,Hatton bulldozes his way to KO JMM! if JMM is careless if he's KO by Hatton I'm not sure if he can stand up! cheers!
A good left hook is Poison to Hatton at this stage. I'm trying to think if JMM's left Hook is any good? (Anyone have Casamayor's #)
I would love to see JMM stage one more fight at 135. Hes bit slower in 135 infact, old casa easily catches him with left hooks.
No-one knows for sure, but Hatton is tested at that weight. Sure JMM is a better boxer but Hatton is a sturdy and robust 140 fighter. I'd have to go for Hatton, but no telling what JMM could do. IMO JMM is probably P4P #1 or #2.
It all depends on how Marquez deals with the weight. If there is no side effects, then I see a Marquez win. Marquez's entire career is not just the Pacquiao fights, both of which many fought he won, but Marquez was a champion before Pac came into the picture. Bad career decisions has plagued the majority of his career, but HBO let the cat out of the bag once Juan put on his boxing exhibition for 10 rounds against Manny in their first encounter. Hatton has nothing to offer Juan, who is unbelievably open for left hand counters. Sure, he'll win some rounds from work ethic alone, smothering some of Marquez's work, but he will be countered whilst lunging in most of the time. He may have to get off the canvas to do it, but Marquez wins this one. Maybe 8-4.
