    Who wins and why?

Does JMM have the pop to knock out Hatton?

if they will pick referee who will not let hatton do his game, then marquez really have a solid chance on a decision. if the fight is on england, hatton via stoppage.

Hatton would get picked apart. I know his style is pressure barreling in, but Marquez can fight on the inside as good as any Mexican, and Hatton is ripe for getting countered over and over.

Not to say that Marquez would dominate 140, but against a fighter like Hatton his skillset would dominate.

Does he hit hard enough though? Cos Hatton usually always faces guys with more skills (not including Maussa) yet he still wins other than against Mayweather who is in another league

2005 Hatton vs Current JMM would be all Hatton, now.....it all depends on Hatton's stamina and punch resistance, if theyre not up to scratch he could easily be on the wrong side of a UD

Marquez is pretty much the same "size" as Hatton, if we're talking tale-of-the-tape.

I think this all hinges upon JMM's power at 140. If he can carry it up, he will carve Hatton up and stop him just like PBF did...but if he doesn't have the pop, he'll get overwhelmed.

A smaller factor is the refereeing, but even a British ref on British soil won't stop Hatton from getting owned all night if JMM hits hard enough.

JMM loves guys that come to him and Hatton has poor defense.

not much talk about this fight

if Pacman does beat DLH and brings Mayweather out of retirement, expect this fight to be made

Marquez could still make featherweight. Bernstain recently said that Marquez could still make 126lbs before the proposed fight with Casamayor was signed a few months back. Lightweight is Marquez's limit. He goes no further north of that.

Marquez better stay away from Hatton. Nate Campbell, Juan Diaz and Guzman should all beat Marquez IMO. Nate has the best chance.

    Hatton stops him.

If the power carries like at 135 then JMM by stoppage. If it does not carry and the fight is anywhere but england then JMM by decision.
Hatton is perfect for JMM. I think JMM finishes him with a check hook like what PBF did. I can see it now.

    Hatton "oh ****!"
    Turnbuckle "we meet again..."

it depends entirely, and I mean entirely, on location and officiating.

In conditions similar to the Tszyu fight, Ricky stops him inside eight.

    If it's properly reffed, in a neutral location, it's a pick'em figh.

    JMM is much more talented.
