Chavez outworks him to a UD.

Marquez would have some success countering the pressuring Chavez, but Chavez' constant pressure will eventually overwhelm JMM, as he would rough up Marquez in the pocket.

At 135lbs, Chavez definetly stops him IMO.

Pacquiao and Mayweather coudn't stop JMM, what makes you think Chavez can?

As if Chavez is Mike Tyson or bigger and stronger than Floyd or faster and more explosive than Pac.

JMM going to get stopped? What is that you are smoking lol :patsch

I'm not sure how developed Marquez's inside game was before 130, but he showed to be more than competent at close range at the weight; it was probably his peak, if not his physical prime. I say that because despite his lateral movement, the fight would inevitably end up there. I couldn't choose since I've never seen JMM beaten decisively beyond a stylistic nightmare in Floyd at WW with poor conditioning. All I know is it would be one hell of a fight. I would think though that Chavez's own quickness and volume would make him easier to score for, if a decision was what it came down to. It also depends on what game-plan JMM uses; pure defensive counter-punching, a smart mix (his usual 130 style), or the type of aggression we saw at 135 that is more likely to get him dropped against that left hook.

Chavez puts on an inside fighting clinic and wins by wide UD.

It wouldnt surprise me if Chavez manage to knock JMM down a couple of times but JMM's resiliency wouldnt allow him to get stopped.

Marquez can beat Chavez if he fights a perfect fight, at 130lbs.

Chavez has a far better offence than both....Julio won't be boxing him from long range like Floyd, and he wont be chasing him around missing a **** load of shots like Pacquaio...Chavez will be cutting off the ring, bobbing and weaving his way inside, picking his shots, and slowly breaking him down to a late ref or corner stoppage. At 135lbs, i think Marquez would make the distance at 130lbs.

I picked Chavez by KO/TKO... Marquez has a good shot of lasting the distance in a 12 round fight (he`d get stopped almost definitely in a 15 rounder) but I voted Chavez by stoppage, he`s bigger & better as well. There`s nothing Marquez could do to contain Chavez, he has literally zero chance of a win, the question is how badly he loses.

I don't think he's better than Mayweather Jr.

I know you despise both the top fighters of this era Bill, but I think you're wrong here.

As usual, people on here that have never seen a prime Chavez fight making silly predictions.

Chavez would **** on Marquez, this (on a sane forum) isn`t even debatable.

I think he`s great to watch in the ring but he`s a complete waste of space & along with pac, a complete embarrassment to the sport, I can`t even bring myself to enjoy him in the ring anymore, I root against fmj & pac no matter who they fight & I haven`t paid for any of their last 3 fights & I won`t be paying for the watered down version vs each other that they are planning on flinging at us either.

Him & pac are the best of the era, I can`t deny that but I really don`t like either guy & that`s me being mild.
