guzman - much too slick, too quick, throws too many punches, better movement, can avoid punches better.. more atheltic

    he'd run rings around JMM

Fear who? Joan? What's there to fear. He's done nothing through his preformances to warrant anything close to the emotion of "Fear". On the flip side...Joan's preformances make you want to OD on sleeping aids.

But seriously Joan has been less than stellar in any of he recent preformances, although he wins, he wins ugly and in a non dominating fashion. A "W" is a "W" but it's also a good indication of a boxers assests and weaknesses...Joan gets hit too often for the kind of style he uses. He's suppose to be the guy who hits and doesn't get hit...but he's no mayweather and Sr. would probably agree after working with him.

Thank you for the link but it is totally invalid, as it provides very short highlights of very long fights (some of which are from below 130). As somebody already noted, Guzman fights only in spurts. When he was fighting at the lower weight, his power and output actually were very good. However, additional weight obviously affected those 2 aspects.

Gotcha, regarding the "Fear" from Pac fans.:good Regarding the sleeping pills......Sorry bro, Joan just doesn't do it for me. He's a good technical fihter and all but he's a fighter that NEVER wants to mix it up with a fighter on his level. He chooses to dance and use his feet to avoid confrontation in the ring. He's not like May or JT where they can stay in the pocket and avoid punches and counter effectively.

Joan is like Casa where he throws his combos or punch and uses his feet to get the ****e outa there. He doesn't stay in the trenches, he avoids them. And Yes...it's effective, but at the same time boring.

Don't get all moody cup cake. If you feel my statments lack anything "Meaningful" well then I guess we'll have to leave it as is. You like Joan and rate him highly. That to me is silly, but hey you obviously have your reasons. THey just can't be reasons you got from his ring preformances. Maybe you dig his attire? Who knows.

How do you know how much May Sr has improved his "D" Mae? Judging from the Soto fight? That style didn't look anything like Sr, Rogers or Jrs defensive Technique....it wasn't even looking like Stevie's "D".

His footwork was GREAT....****ing outstanding...not in the sense that his footwork created offesnive openings, but in the sense they were swift enough to get him the hell out of the kitche when the burners were on full blast.

Maybe Sr has done more since the Soto fight with Joan, but Sr doens't say **** about Joan and how good his is anymore. Which leads me to believe Floyd Sr also feels Joan is a bit over rated by some.

Sr also said that Hatton was a bum as well, yet he now says Hatton is a good fighter and he's gonna make hatton an even better one. Don't hold on to Flody Sr words too much.

Do you know what you're talking about? Obviously, not. The man you're calling a BUM is getting paid in MILLIONS. How much is your boy getting paid? Do you even know what a MILLION is. School PACMAN, on running right? Check your facts BOY!:hat

this is actually a good match. i hope this two will fight each other after they both win this saturday. pac would not fight until december and he would probably fight hatton after hoya. after that, pac should fight the winner of the two.

There is a reason why guys like JMM, Morales, Barrera, and Pacman stay away from slick, defensive minded fighters. They are made to look like ****. ie. Raheem's victory over Morales.

guzman is the biggest of the 130 pounders. he was having a hard time draining to 130 and fought at 148 in his last fight against soto.

I hope Pac doesn't fight Hatton. I would like to see next Pac vs the winner of Campbell/Guzman fight. I hope JMM wins and fight Juan Diaz after that, and then after, the two winners facing eachother.

I guess I have to include these fights in my letter to Santa.

i would also like to pac fight directly the winner of campbell-guzman but we know that he would fight hatton if hatton wins and if pac showed a good performance (not necessarily win) against oscar.

and i forgot that juan diaz is back in the equation again. those are good christmas wishes. :good :D

Exactly. If someone forced me to pick now, I'd take Marquez, but the coming fights will give us a clearer idea.
