You seem to be forgetting what Marquez did the rest of that fight. He has said he actually prefers fighting southpaws; anytime he has he has made up for getting hit with that straight left with an adjustment and a counter-right that gives him the edge. His combination punching will take it's toll in the later rounds as Judah fails, and Marquez will win a decision or late tko. He can deal with speed and southpaws and will go the distance. 140 may be iffy, but JMM showed he can more than handle a 130 Pacquiao and the only thing Judah has Pac didn't is reach. If age and weight don't take their toll, Marquez. It's not terribly improbable Judah wins on his athleticism and physical advantages at 140, but other than that Marquez's ring IQ and counterpunching ability allows him to outclass Judah.
JMM will win, get into the fight at round 4 and win every round till the 11th or 12 where he knocks that loose cannon out!
Good fight for JMM. He'll be spectacular for this fight. It will be a KO reel. Judah's makes u look good in Camera. JMM by KO.
At 140 or above JMM is slow, sluggish and easy to hit. Judah will be FAAAR to fast for JMM at Jr WW. What Floyd did to JMM will be what Zab does but with more explosive offense where he'll actually get the KO at some point. At 135 it's a different fight and different outcome....Not to mention JMM has been on the slide since his fight with Juan Diaz or Casa.
I'm not sure what to make of him at LW let alone JWW where he has never fought. JMM came into a weak LW division where the big boys were either gone (Castillo, Corrales, even Lazcano) or shot(Casamayor). He was not even impressive against Juan Diaz despite the KO win.
Speed doesn't bother Marquez even at this stage of his career. IT would be like the Pacman fight all over again except it would be alot shorter and it would end in a knockout.
Floyd is in a class of his own so he doesn't belong in this debate. Living Legend isn't bothered by speed nor power. Plus Marquez doesn't belong at 140 or above. He still Pac's daddy though. WE can't change that unless pac grows a pair and fights him again.
Floyd is operating at a higher level than most.....So is manny. But JMM is a great fighter in his own right. And at his natrual weight in his prime he wouldn't have failed the Floyd test quite as severely as he did when he was fighting FAR beyond his physical capabilities past his physical best. JMM and Floyd can be mentioned in the same sentence without disrespecting anyone. Just as long as they keep things in the proper perspective. JMM was a great Light weight and feather weight fighter. But he's not a WW. Speed and power are always a factor but when you have the ability and skill set to combat those qualities like JMM has shown AT HIS Weight he's able to nullify those areas effectively. With Floyd JMM was simply fighting a bigger, stronger, faster and PRIME fighter in Floyd which is why we saw Floyd dominate. JMM's daddy is now not only Manny but Floyd too. JMM's only shot at beating Manny was earlier in his career before Manny improved to the fighter we see today. No one really wants to see a mis match or a present GREAT take any uneccessary beating and taht's what PAC would hand him should he end up with yet anther shot after taking 2 "L's" from PAC as it stands now.
