JMM vs Khan at 140

JMM by UD. Close fight.

 

Due to marquez and his accuracy i would pick him to win. One punch landed would see the glass jaw crack and legs to jelly. To accurate for khan unless khan is able to get him out of there early

 

You know, I and so many others were calling Marquez an aged fighter, and Khan would have been picking an 'easy fight' if he took it, but it was as if Marquez turned into a Prime fighter when he fought Kats, reason being I want to see Marquez-Pacquiao.

How can you guys favour marquez over khan, khan is a terrible style matchup for marquez.

 

id favour khan by UD.... he has reach, height and speed advantage over marquez. manual shone against two brawlers at 135, both katsidis and diaz tried to get inside marques and land withshort hooks and uppercuts. they got picked off and out boxed. dont be impressed by the diaz fight. mallignaggi outboxed him twice. khan will jab and throw combos in and out all night. marquez might be able to close him down and knock him out but with khans tight defense and marquez'z lack of power at 140 i cant see that happening.

I love JMM but he should only fight above 135 if it's against Pacquiao. Khan is too big and too fast for him at this point. He's also fighting in a much more disciplined style under Roach. He'd use that excellent jab all night and refuse to get involved in any exchanges.

I think this is a horrible fight for Marquez.

 

You know I was going to ask you why you said that, but I see what you mean now thinking about it.

Khan will be the bigger, younger and maybe faster man. JMM has problems with guys with a good long jab ala Chris John. Idk Khan might give him some problems...I can see it, but I'm still rooting for JMM.

I could see this turning into a horribly boring fight btw. Especially if it turns into a jabbing feast.

Look there was a reason golden boy wanted to put marquez in there with khan a while back, it was to sacrifice marquez and make khan look good against a hof guy at his weight division making amir a star. Ic ompletely get the logic, but of course marqeuz knew this as well and pulled out of the fight if it was a injury or a duck i don't blame him either way.
Marquez still has things to do and prove in boxing, I think he has a very good chance against anyone at 140 except for khan. Khan needs to make his own route beating the guys at 140, maidana is a excellent challenge for him.
I hope the khan-marquez fight never happens.

Huge size, style speed advantage. JMM might knock him but I don't think he'd win enough exchanges to take it. Hard to counter with all those things going against you.

 

i agree.... styles make fights and with khans jab and speed he would most probably dominate marquez. id love to see marquez vs bradly or maidana, i can see marquez beating both!

I don't now that I can call it.

Kahn is quick and has some power. He's younger.

JMM is more experienced, puts together amazingly accurate 3 & 4 punch combos and goes toe to toe.

If JMM has the power to hurt a chinny Kahn, I'd go JMM all day. On the flip side, if JMM can't hurt Kahn, I can see Kahn winning rounds and causing knockdowns, maybe winning a split decision.
