close fight, Hatton was better than Juan Diaz and look what juan diaz did to JMM early on. JMM would take the championship rounds and take a Decision - 115-113, people who think this is one sided fight either don't know boxing or only seen last few of hatton's fights

Do people think diaz was better than Hatton, Hatton was stronger than JMM had a good chin and decent power, Jmm would have to fight with his back against the ropes all through out the fight, People who are picking JMM by KO before 6 don't know **** about boxing

Hatton is better than Diaz in every way other than punching Volume, he's a level or two above Katsidis aswell.

A limited Diaz gave JMM plenty of problems at 135.

Marquez counters the **** out of any version of Hatton, and stops him late.

Marquez would beat the **** out of Hatton. Hatton would be tailormade for Marquez.

Marquez counters the living **** out of Hatton and stops him in the 10th but Hatton would give him a tough fight but Marquez gives him an ass kicking.

Hatton by decision. Hatton was a dirty, MMA style fighter with fast feet and fast hands (when he used them). He'd tie JMM up and work his body for 12 grueling rounds.

You all are over hyping Marquez because he gives Pacquiao problems. Marquez lost to Chris John, Chris John probably wouldn't beat little ass Gamboa

Marquez was absolutely robbed against Chris John, what the **** are you talking about?

Hatton would have success early on the inside, but Marquez has better defense in close and would eventually land the more accurate punches on Hatton. He' out-maneuver him on the outside, and as Hatton presses, figure him out on the inside. UD or late KO/TKO.

Though Hatton is a pretty underrated fighter, I like him...JMM is just underrated as well.

If you guys watched john Murray vs Kevin Mitchell I think it goes a lot like that. Hat ton has success early and walks through Marquez and rocks him a couple of times. 3-2 hatton through 5 then Marquez class starts to show, lands more cleanly, takes 2 out of 3 from 6-8. Then in 9 hatton gets rocked and goes back to his corner on wobbly legs and gets finished off in 10

Marquez would have the answer to any puzzle Ricky would pose.I still believe there are lesser fighters Marquez should stay away from at 140,the size would cause a problem somewhere, but Ricky would be cannon fodder for JMM's guile.

Hatton was basically shot (well past his best at 140) when he fought Pac which is evident in the way the fight panned out, that was a shadow of Hatton at his 2004-2006 best.

In 2008 if it happened, even fight with edge to Hatton, peak Hatton is a different story, i dunno if JMM could keep him off at all, too big and strong for him, just from what we saw of Katsidas and Diaz fights, not only is Hatton a far superior swarmer than those guys he has more boxing ability than both, Hatton would tko both of them for example.

JMM is my favourtie fighter but be realistic, Hatton was elite at 140 before his lifestyle between fights took its toll, he looked crap in his couple visits to 147 against Collazo and Floyd, but his only defeat at 140 came when he was past his best, the list of people who would beat Hatton in his prime at 140 isnt a big one.
